ACT interaction with Ventrillo / TS / tchat ?

Hello all,

Please, anybody can confirm if it's possible to make ACT interact with Ventrilo, TS, or with eq2 raid channel ?
I heard about a bot that linked Act and Ventri, then a sound was played and heard by all the raid members ?

Is it possible to be automaticaly warned in Raid Channel when a specific actions is trigger in act ?
I mean, act detect an AE, then send a message in eq2 raid channel.

Could you give me any explanations if those solutions are available please ?

ACT, nor can any program that does not use keyboard and mouse emulation, can not input anything by itself into an EQ2 chat channel.

As for TS or Ventrilo, you could set up your machine or another machine that is reading the log file from yours, to play a sound or do TTS on an AE warning. You would need that machine set to "What You Hear" sound input mode and would need the vent/TS settings so that it starts sending when sound is detected (aka no hotkey).

We did this in previous guild I was in where a second machine running act and Vent would do the microsoft text to voice based on the spell timers in ACT. So you get a 10sec warning on vent and another warning when it fires. It isn't 100% perfect all the time but it is VERY usefull, best way to help coordinate jousting AE's

Sorry to Necropost on this, but I am currently trying to accomplish the same thing. I "sort of" got it to work last night, but getting the sensitivity down so that its not disruptive to the channel is difficult. Basically, any time ACT triggered, it would leave the channel open for 6 seconds or more (I normally never user voice activation for this reason). I may be forced to create a plugin to implement some sort of Vent key toggle to overcome this, but I'd love to not have to.

Did the OP ever come up with a happy solution?
