EQ2 crashing when trying to paste ACT parse

Whenever i press CTRL-V to paste the parse after i hear the beep from ACT, eq2 client stops working.

Was wondering if anyone else ever had this?

Not really specifically to do with ACT however. ACT uses the Windows Clipboard in nearly the safest way possible. ACT places the text on the clipboard for Windows. EQ2 takes the clipboard data from Windows and there's no direct interaction with ACT at that point. Copying the same data from Notepad would be the same.

For those that may understand the following... there is a clipboard mode where the data can be serialized only upon usage, but ACT does not use that mode.

yea, i knew it wouldnt be ACT itself, just wondered if any one had encountered the problem with windows clipboard and knew how to solve it.

Seemed to have been one of those 'happened for a day' problems since it didnt occur once today..wierd, clipboard must have been freaking out.

When SoE removed the ability to have chat on multiple lines, I think I was able to crash EQ2 using some sequence of control characters trying to find an alternate solution, but I don't remember what I did. At any rate, ACT only uses 0x0A (\n).

Once in a blue moon someone is able to crash EQ2 by pasting, but I've never received enough reports to look into it. Not that I could fix anything. The reason I responded the way I did was because usually people think ACT does something magic.

I had problems with EQ2 crashing when I pushed ctr + v

I figured out I first have to type /g (or any other way to put the cursor in my chat box) and then paste. If I just pasted without the chatbox having focus, eq2 crashed on me.
