I'm sure there's something obvious I'm missing, but I can't seem to get the webserver running correctly.
I want to run ACT on a separate machine. Then have a web browser open on the second monitor of my primary machine to see updated combat stats.
So I tick the box and got the webserver running. And I can open up IE/Firefox and go to the IP of the machine running ACT and it pulls up the ACT page, but when I click the link ("Current Encounter Table") to get encounter data all I see is "No encounter". However if I actually look at the machine it is parsing my logs just as it should. The data just doesn't show up on the webpage through the server.
If you go here:
Advanced Combat Tracker -- An encounter parser for EQ2
and view the second to last screen shot you see browser windows with encounter data which I'm assuming auto refreshes based on what I've read in the FAQ. Something like the first table on the right is what I'm trying to get to display and auto refresh.
I've gone here:
Using the in-game HTML display
And it says "There is actually very little to do for the web interface. You enable the web server using the checkbox and then connect to it using a web browser." I'm assuming that works for IE/FireFox and not just EQ2's internal web browser, correct?
Really, I've searched and searched and given that I don't see others having a lot of problems with it I'm sure I've just missed something stupidly easy, but I just can't figure out why I can open the webpage but never get any encounter data such as is seen in the screenshots. If anyone has any pointers it would be appreciated big time.
Thanks.
