Default Spell Double Attack

Any chance we could get some sort of plugin to track spell double attack?

From what I hear... spell double attack still requires you cast the spell a second time. Personally, I have a nuke I can land every 4 seconds. How would ACT not know that isn't a double spell hit? Just because it happened twice within 2 seconds instead of 4 seconds? I'm sure there are nukes out there with long cast times... so it would require variable programming for each spell.

This is incorrect, the spell lands at the same time. You do not get a second cast time.

I guess... I thought the second cast time wasn't a horrible idea considering what aggro it might get the only class I know that has it. You could for instance, cancel the second spell cast. That's okay, not like I heal wizards.

The next consideration is that, more or less, it will look like a two hit AE spell. Meaning most two hit AEs will look like a spell double attack, no? Anyone by chance have some logs of a double spell attack happening? I'm curious if there are any indicators such as how it orders the damage around emotes or procs.

Also overlapping DoTs would cause issues... do wizards have DoTs? Either way, it's harder to get a clean statistic from this type of double attack. Even the melee double attack plugin cannot account for people with AE melee attacks.

Yeah, for instance when Fission hits 3 mobs, from the logs, it will look like a spell had two double attacks. And if Fission double attacks, the logs will indicate that Fission double attacked 5 times.

6 times unless a mob dies.

Well, technically 5 times. Fission hits 3 mobs - the first hit would register as the initial spell cast. The next 5 hits (if the mob names were the same) would register as double attacks.

couldnt you shorten the time to check to like .3 seconds?
it wouldnt work on an AE spell like fursion but the search time would be low enough to not be effected by DOTs
