I certainly won't be carebear, but I wont be full hardcore either. I will enjoy the game to it's fullest. I am going to quest a lot and kinda rush to 25 for access to the abyss, but after that I am going to relax a bit and do some PvE for good gear and perhaps craft a bit for gear as well. I plan to PvP in the abyss and rift PvP quite often though for abyss points for my gear.

I want to participate in Fortress Sieges as well and will do them often. Level 50 will come quick enough. I went to Aion with a group of friends so I will stay inline with them level wise.

Well, unless I'm on my assassin and figure I can take one out before anyone notices. Best thing ever in DAoC staying stealthed if you 1 shotted someone. Roll in with every intention of probably getting owned, splatter some poor sap's brains across the ground in 1 hit, lol IRL, stroll away.

But I couldn't give a shit less about the PvE, its just a means to an end.

I enjoy PvE and I plan on doing plenty of it, but I also plan on joining in the PvP. I'm a total PvP noob though, so I'm pretty much just going in expecting to be an AP pinata until I can learn how to not suck. And once that happens, I too will be able to tear up some noobs and the circle of life shall be complete.

I've always been straight PvE with just a tad of PvP and GvG thrown in. Overall I want to try all aspects of the game, but I'll most likely focus on PvE in the beginning. Some EQ2 friends purchased Aion also so it will be fun adventuring

u should cancel your pre order, dont buy the game or what ever u planed :D or wait: plz plz play on my server elyos ! i will come through a rift and pown you - btw if u guys didnt know it yet, there are only 5 raid mobs and arround 15 in the pvp area

to late I already own it. pwn away LOL it's the only way I will learn. Of course a few tips after you smash me into the ground would be nice

hm... to be serious i only played guild wars so far with a pvp content... and eq2 pvp is just stupid, so basically i would say be rdy anytime ! thats the most important...

I am more interested in the pvp aspects. I know for a fact that once I hit cap, if all there is to do is pve, I'm gone vry soon after.

Pvp has a habit of being more dynamic than pve, and since I'm not a fan of running instances over and over, meh for pve after the lvling is done.

Although, to each their own ofc, just my preference.

Depends on the quality and the rewards from the PvP really - while WAR has its flaws at least it encourages PvP.

I fully intend to go PvP with a splash of carebear - how big a splash depends on the quality of the PvE stuff. I won't be leaving EQ2 though so it's going to take me a while to get there.
