I like some of the smaller, less elaborate designs.

But frankly, some of those big ass two handers look like what you'd expect to be wielded by the lead baton twirler in a pride day parade.

Polygon count means dick to playability and uniqueness. If a fucking game company can't make unique looking models for things instead of using generic cookie cutter crap that gets rehashed over 80 levels with only slight color variances, they can suck my cock.

I got so tired of wearing the same looking gear for 60 levels it's refreshing to see some variety regardless of so called polygon counts.

I'll take a unique model or environment any day.

I'll agree the graphics are technically superior. But, IMO, those weapons are gawdy as hell and are extreme caricatures of weapons, rather than weapons that would ever be developed for practical use, even within the role play world of a fantasy MMO.

I flatly dislike like most of them. They remind me of disco music and wine coolers.

I do agree that the video linked shows some nice, colorful scenes. I guess my tastes are more oriented toward realism than extremism.

The armor and weapons in WoW get flashier and flashier and more colorful and larger every time I look. By the time they get to their second exspansion there will be swords and axes that can't even fit on the screen unless you run it in 1680X1050 widescreen.

The EQ2 vs. WoW debate will never end. I rarely pay attention to the arguments anymore. Play what you want to play. I will admit those weapons are entertaining, in that they make me laugh when I look at them and imagine/see them in an RPG setting.

Personally I think those weapons look super shitty.
