Re: Team Fortress 2 (and The Orange Box)
Looks like they re-canned the Black Box. The Steam version is nowhere to be found, but they have the Orange Box for $44.95 with Peggle Deluxe included, which basically makes the 2 old games free, since the Black Box was going to be $39.95.
You can't hand off the old games yet, but they say you can when October 9 rolls around.

Re: Team Fortress 2 (and The Orange Box)
So, I bought the Orange Box, and loaded up Peggle Extreme, having enjoyed the hell out of Peggle Deluxe.

Re: Team Fortress 2 (and The Orange Box)
Sure, this thread is a week old, but it doesn't really need a new thread. TF2 "beta" is active for those who already purchased the Orange Box on Steam. I quoted it because I'm almost positive this is final code due to the fact that they've stated it's finished, and I haven't come across a single glitch yet.
I'm getting hooked on playing the Medic, primarily because not enough people do, and keeping an entire team up by yourself is a lot of fun, especially when you can alt fire and go invulnerable for 10 seconds for a charge into (or out of) the enemy base every once in a while.

I started the d/l remotely at home. However once it finished, it doesnt give me a play option, so i'm thinking i need to activate the beta.
Where do i activate it? I looked around a bit, but i dont see it.

I did "view preload info" around 3am EST this morning, and it started decrypting the junk, then it was ready.

Re: Team Fortress 2 (and The Orange Box)
yea, the rule about steam pre-loads is to always close and reopen steam.

Re: Team Fortress 2 (and The Orange Box)
After playing TF2 for the past several days. I must say its awesome.
The entire atmosphere of the game is great. The humor and art are incredibly fun.
This game alone makes the $49 well spent, and i'm still dying to play Epi:2 and portals.

I have to agree 100%. TF2 has been keeping me more entertained longer than either halo ever did or any other fps for that matter. Now if they'd just nerf fucking sentries a little bit, it'd be perfect.
