Let's see - CTRaidAssist - Gives a raid warning command that shows text in the center of your screen so it is impossible to miss. Calls out AEs and other important aspects of the encounter in this raid warning area, including count downs to them happening.

KLH Threat Meter - Actaully shows you where you are on the threat list, fault for some fights (IE Onyxia) but encounter changing for fights like Vael.

Scrolling Combat Text - Even though its everything you can figure out, it lierally tells and shows you EVERYTHING happening to you right on the center of your screen.

Decursive - Gives you a little menu on your screen that will show what ailments a friend has on them, and ONLY ones that you can cure. All you have to do is click on the name and the ailment, and it cures that ailment without ever even dropping a target. You can also set priority so certain ailments are cured before others. And if you don't want to click them, you can make a macro and command "/decurse" to do it for you.

Carnival Casting Bars - Shows exactly what your enemy is casting, and the duration the effect has left on the enemy. Also shows spells casted on friendly units. So say the main tank had a regrowth or renew casted on them, you would know you don't need to cast yours until the effect is almost gone from the HoT.

Whisper Cast - Anytime a buff drops from someone and they would want it back, they send you a whisper with a buff name, and if you have it set to, it instantly casts the buff on them, or you can click on their name in a drop down menu and do it yourself. Useful in raids mainly for paladins when a person gets battle rezzed and needs blessings.

I do not remember the name of the mod, but - there is a mod that if you are healing someone, and it is about to end (.5 seconds left on cast) and the person is above 80% health - the heal will instantly cancel it self so you don't waste the mana.

There is also another mod I can't think of the name to, that will instantly use your racials such as Will of the Forsaken, Escape Artist, or your PvP trinket when ailments such as roots, fears, stuns, etc are done to you.

There are for sure more but I am currently pressed for time and will say more as I remember - but as you can see, Addons play a HUGE role in raiding. Also the addons I posted, they are commonly used by most of the WoW community, not just the raiding.

Oh my. Where to start?
  • Almost every single WoW player I know in real life is a fscking emo MySpace whore that blabs on about their level 27 Druid Night Elf, Stellarosedemon, or something. Everyone is always making jokes abut it like it's the funniest crap ever.
  • I hate Dark/Night elves, overused race, play something else. No offense to the players but STILL.
  • The graphics look like Nintendo 64 on LSD, or The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
  • Not that graphics matter too much anyway. But the difficulty is so easy, my dog could probably get to level 60 in a week.
  • Once again, the community.
  • I find it funny that some EQ2 players (no one on this site that I've seen) claim they want to get their behinds to WoW, and come back crying that it was too easy.
  • The damn fans.
  • People telling me to play it. No.
  • The end!

Ok so you can name some mods? Dood, you don't need that shit to raid, it helps and it's nice, but uneeded. Seriously Ramp mayn, you need to actually raid in WoW, it owns EQ2 so bad. T5 EQ2 owns WoW though, when contested spawns actually meant something since the rest of the loot was shit, but since T5 man, EQ2 went to the shitter.

EQ2 raid.. Pull, tank, heal, dps, durka, gay loots!

I need to raid WoW? Ive raided Onyxia, all of Molten Core, Lethon, Ysondre, and Kazzak, all of BWL, all of ZG, all of AQ20, and up to Huhuran in AQ40. I also have/had 3 level 60 characters, a shaman/priest horde, and a mage on alliance. Also, if you are in a real fucking raid guild, they require CTRaid Assist, KLH Threat Meter, Whisper Cast, and Decursive if you are a priest/shaman/paladin/druid/mage.

I don't really understand this post. If it's a "eq2 adds more stuff then wow" then your right. EQ2 adds more worthless shit to go along with its current worthless shit ie: hos and lyceum. Backwards progression!

Btw you don't even raid in eq2 so why would you care how much they add?

Actually, I'm starting to raid again. Both on my Befallen main and my Nagafen alt. Some pre-college crap's out of the way.

But anyway! At least EQ2 adds stuff sometimes. Even though some of it sucks. Then again, there's quality over quantity. /shrug
