I played WoW for a little bit when EQ2 first came out becuz I try to keep 2 MMOs accessible to me. I like EQ2 better so I stopped playing WoW as much. Then they had some server thing goin on that annoyed me and I dropped my subscription.

I dont like to compare WoW to EQ2 becuz as far as I'm concerned its apples and oranges. There are things I like about WoW and things I like about EQ2. But each has things that annoy the heck outta me...lol

In WoW-
i like the graphics. It reminds me of playing a video game which I still love to do. I like the crafting style. It works like EQ, but better actually. If you have all the items in your inventory, you can click create all and it will make multiples of the item. I do hate the chatting windows though. Drives me crazy.
I can never seem to find anything and the help tab isnt very helpful. I never hear anybody chatting, atleast not on my server and I'm chatty so that's bad. It has seemless zones which is good becuz I hate to lag during a zone and then go LD which doesnt happen as often as it did, but still annoys me. Most of the quests are easy even without a group. Their are some that you absolutely hav eto have a group for but its not necessary for the most part. But then I only played until my hunter up to lvl 24.
Oh and I dont like the casting timers and running away from mobs doesnt usually work...lol. They always seem to catch you and they have a aggro radius of about 10 miles. The banking system sucks. I hated it from day one. They dont have banks in every town and you have to buy bag spaces and at lower lvls who can afford that? Just about everything is lvled based getting pets, getting pet spells, training your pets, getting mounts, that's sort of things. And there's no way to get anywhere unless you walk becuz you have to find the glyphs located in the god foresakeness places.
OMG!!! But i LOVE their arena. It works sorta like the Mech games. Alliance agains Horde, stealing each others flag and killin each other off...lol. If I could rate it based on that I would never play EQ again...lol

EQ2-
I love EQ. I dont care what anybody says or how often people complain. It has a great concept. I love the lore behind it and I like the people. I love the guilds. The crafting could be better but I dont craft enough to want it to change. Most of the things that I find wrong with EQ is based on outside meddling for things that didnt need to be changed in the first place. EQ tries to come out with new things for you to do all the time. I like to quest but all the good ones require you to ask other people to help you, so if youre the type that likes to solo you might as well pretty much not want to do any of the good quests until the mobs are so low that it doesnt matter. The graphics are great. I have no complaints except the bug that took my pony tail away...lol. Crafted items dont suck, that's always good to keep the economy from goin to putz, but I'm still poor so, what about me? ?...lol. Oh and Ogaming is the bomb for quests ands tuff...)
