There is a group doing something similar to create a Pre-NGE SWG server. I doubt seriously they are going to go to the trouble of shutting it down unless it gets really popular and they feel its costing them business.

They don't have anything up on the website as to how much it's going to cost per month. I'd LOVE to dust off my Druid roots and play EQ1 again.

I doubt seriously they'll get away with charging for it. If they keep it non-profit I think they could have it run for quite some time.

the only thing i remember that i was totally overtired when raiding naggy. good thing was, if your guild was camping it, no other would steal it.
i would pay a small fee to play on that server however. ofc i want my 30days trial haha =p

They can not legaly charge anything, only ask for donations.
Same reason all the emulated RO servers are free...

but most of them are like live servers, at least the very popular ones ive seen. i'm not familar with the "underground"

Just get Shards of Dalaya, its an eq mod that goes over eq1, but it is basically the same thing as a pre luclin game, and it does not violate the TOS as Freeport is called like North town or something, all the NPC's and Towns are re-named to make it legit.
