EQ2 had humans as a playable race on release. A few months later WoW was released and they had humans as a playable race too.

WoW so ripped off eq2.

Excuse me while I laugh at you.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

*AHEM*

Moving on.

The "raiders" in question don't buy gold online because they need to in order to beat an encounter, they do it because they are probably fat ass lazy fucking slobs that don't want to farm it themselves. I'm okay with that, so long as they fucking admit they bought gold because they're lazy and didn't want to farm it themselves.

No one is forced to buy gold, it's a personal choice.

They do need gold to beat encounters.

Your shit make no sense. You say they buy gold because they dont want to farm it themselves. Well no fucking shit sherlock. Everyone who buys gold does so because they do not want to farm it themselves.

A person has a limited amount of time to play a night. Raiding takes a significant portion of that time, leaving little time to farm. If raiding is a huge money drain, and no money is gained on raids, that leaves little time for a raider to make up for the money he loses daily at raids.

That means they buy gold because they do not have time to farm it themselves, which has always been the reason to buy gold online.

Yes, of course no one is forced to buy gold. Everything in life is a choice and you are not forced to do anything (except being born, which in your case is your parents mistake). But as raiders spend more time raiding and are left with less time farming they are left with a choice. They can either take a few days off from raids and farm gold, or continue raiding daily and buy gold.

What part of makeing gil was easy? You mentioned in another post that level 5 mobs dropped 300k items, yeah they sure did all .000001% of the time. I got 2 wind crsytals from fucking fafnir once sold that shit for 300 gil not 300k but 300. I was a high level crafter and makeing money was easier but could also blow up in my face.

Amenit hides 300k x 6 = 1.8 mil the nq's vendored for like 2k the HQ sold for 700k so to make money I needed 50%+ HQ. I remeber buying 10 once and getting 1 HQ.

In EQ2 I've never farmed anything ever, shit I've never had more than 15 plat.

You realize what you're saying is that it's harder to raid in WoW than EQ2 because you have to actually spend time farming gold in order to buy items necessary to defeat encounters, right? You're also saying that WoW's raiding requirements are so hardcore that people are forced to buy gold because they just don't have enough time ( due to raiding ) to go out and earn it so they can buy said items.

And WoW is EZ-Mode how?

Amenit was about the worst mob to farm. And crafting was a total joke. No wonder you didnt have any money.

Gil was easy to make because nothing was attuned. If you bought that sniper ring, you didnt lose hundreds of thousands of gil. You invested it. A month later if you wanted to sell that ring you could prolly get back more than what you paid for it.

I've never farmed in eq2 either. THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE. I dont know of anyone who likes to farm. Its not fun. Hence why people buy gold in WoW, they are forced to farm solo and single group content to raid.
