Halo 3 Disappointment?

Alright, I have not yet Delved into the Online Halo 3, but I know I will enjoy the multiplayer just due to the Forge and the Replay ability and a couple other things.

That being said, I have found the game disappointing.

Graphically it was amazing. Playing on HDTV.

Sound was Amazing on Dolby 6.1 Surround Sound.

I liked the new weapons, vehicles, and controls were great.

The things I found disappointing.

The Game on Normal is a Joke, the Flood are retarded easy to kill, and It only took me about 6 hours to finish the game.

The Game on Heroic isn't much better, the only hard stage in this setting is when you go back aboard High Charity to rescue Cortana, but I think it's only difficult because looking for the Flood there is like looking for a Gecko in a shrubbery, and it's dark as shit. (Anyone else turn their Gamma settings up and play with the flashlight on the whole stage like I did?)

The Ending is dissappointing and I'm not really that happy with it. (I won't ruin it) but it seemed like it was cheesy and hastily put together. It really leaves you hanging and you have to draw a conclusion to what really happened as you watch the real ending after the credits finish rolling.

It's hard to finish something this big in a way that the majority will agree on, I wouldn't want the job, but this just seems cheapened.

I agree about it being too short, I also did it in around 6 hours. However was a very good 6 hours, had a blast.

Online play owns tho and that's where it's at. The co-op for the campaign is decent as is the general skirmishes / slayer matchs and I like the new maps etc etc. Also the replay function is brilliant.

The only dissappointment / complaint I have is I was expecting more variety in the weapons. I dunno they all just seem a bit same-y to me, and maybe another vehicle or two wouldn't have hurt.

Alright so a question that no one has been able to answer me. WHY is Halo 3 online play so good? Is it that much better than anything we've seen on the PC?

I don't know how to answer that except to say that you have so many different options for types of games and styles it's just really cool. You can level in ranked matches and you have the option of team slayer, team objectives, team tactical, lone wolf, and something else I can't remember... maybe big team battle? You can also just do social matches and not worry about ranks.

You just need to experience it and yes I think it's better than PC online play. Get one and play with me damnit.

So WTF? To really enjoy it, I'm going to have to buy a SECOND 360 and HD tv so hubbie and I can play with each other in all the good online shit?
Or can we still co-op on one machine and do the online stuff?

No you guys can split screen and do co-op and do online that way too. I just couldn't stand it split screen so we bought another 360.

Halo is meant for multiplayer, single player in FPS games that have 95% of there attention on multiplayer are all ways crap.

And with that, the multiplayer is ownage.

People at work, during lunch break, are playing Team Fortress 2 over Halo 3 by quite a big margin. So I'd say no.

I think it depends on where you are. Unfortunately I'm not playing TF2 so I don't know....does it show a tally of who's online at the moment?

This week playing H3 I've seen the numbers push 660,000 people on xbox live playing H3.

Everything is LAN (game wise) at work, so I wouldn't know what it looks like from the outside.
