That might be because Gears of War used the Unreal 3 engine, and was developed by the same company that develops Unreal Tournament.

I think there is some sarcasm in this, but I also think that you really think this game is stupid because of the name. Which is easily the worst argument against a game, ever.

I loved UT99, but after playing Onslaught, I can't go back to DM, CTF, or Domination.

Ya, when I get UT3 I'll be doing mostly DM and TDM because that's where the competition is at, and CTF as well. Onslaught and those others are incredibly fun when you kinda want to relax and play with friends but it's fucking fun as hell. Same with all those other base capturing things you can do. I like Last Man Standing as well.

Nah, I won't be playing it just because of the name, but because it doesn't appeal, call me an idiot but it just looks kinda lame imo, but hey have fun with it. The name still is weird, though.
