Default Hellgate: London

Good, or bad ?

Anyone even hear of this one. Makers of the game were some of the same who developed good old Diablo. :O

I played in the beta, it was pretty good. Excellent storyline in MP, which is what the beta was. Not sure if it's the same as SP. Overall, I like the way it works, but I played alone, and I'm sure it would be shitloads more fun with a bunch of friends.

I stopped playing the SP demo pretty fast, because the dialogue system was seriously annoying. You have to click through like 30000 pages of dialogue with a single line per page before you can accept a mission, and you have to do it every 30 seconds or so.

I like the game a lot. Been playing a lot of beta's recently and this is by far one of the best.

Really bad game in that it is very limited. You don't spam CAs or anything, you just hit like 2 buttons for each class and you win. Really gets borign after a while. Awesome concept/idea but it crashed and burned.

Sounds like an MMO

The single player demo, from what i've heard, really had problems; the released and patched game is much better.

It's definately like Diablo in many ways, and even carries on some of the running gags from that series. It has a few MMO elements, but to me it's the perfect mirror opposite to EQ2; instead of a game focused on group play with some solo, it's a solo game with the chance to group when you want thrown in - and I can play the game that suits my mood at the time. Anyone that enjoyed D2 and played it over and over should find the same thing in 'Hellgate'... and it should keep me distracted for the next couple weeks until RoK comes out.

Of course, this being a completely new game and online system - they have been having more than their share of problems.
