Here's my review from 1 Day:
I'm playing a Conqueror, and I'm on the Bluesteel PVP Server, I played for 5 hours and actually explored most everything instead of just spamming through trying to grind levels, and I hit level 12 before I logged off last night.
Gameplay so far is pretty seamless. Even when you have to zone it's really quick and it is nice that they made zoning into open-PVP areas much faster than zoning into cities (or so it definitely seemed).
You can take night missions if you want, to complete quests and while you are doing night missions you don't have to worry about PVP, the minority of the quests are night missions though, so while it is possible to level up a little and gain skill, if you really want to progress through content, you have to go out into the Open PVP areas.
The quests were flawless, did not notice any bugs, fairly simple and even while the mini-map is rather meh it fulfills it's purpose well enough that you can actually use it. The gear from quest rewards are JUST above purchased gear of the same level, so it's definitely worth it to do the quests so 1. You get slightly better gear, and 2. You don't have to buy gear for that slot.
Someone had mentioned that you could not PVP until level 10, so I zone into White Sands at level 9 to work on a couple quests before open Gankage:
True Story: So I zone into the Multiplayer Instance of White Sands (Daytime mission here is an open zone, Night time is Single Player instanced) and the moment I zone in the only person I see on my screen is across a small pond right near the zone in area. He immediately turns like his head is on a swivel and starts running towards me. I swear to christ, I thought it was part of one of the quests I had to go to white sands, because I'm on high graphics and this guy is quite a bit aways, and immediately makes a bee-line for me. He jumps into the pond and swims straight across at me, so I target him and figure it's part of a quest I am on. IT WAS ANOTHER PLAYER! Apparently when you zone out of the starter city, you are open for PVP. I progress to kicking the shit out of him, and treating him like a mob, because honestly I thought it was part of a quest, I was only level 9 and it looked like he aggroed me and he was level 8. So I kill him, and notice that no quests update, no loot drops.. so I'm like WTF? Then I get the tell "Fuck you n00bz0r! I'll get a level and be back to k33l j00!" Hilarity ensues. I think I killed this dickbag 5 times while I was on the island, and I got killed myself several times by other players while completing a couple quests. I figured out how dodge works, and how much position really matters. I learned quickly that if you're doing combos and your enemy is not, you will probably wtfpwn them. I also learned that you can kite in and out, and that weapons do really have range, I could hit an assassin from further away with my 2 handed club and he couldn't hit me with his daggers, but I guess he stood there thinking that because I was hitting him he should be hitting me, he died figuring it out.
Everything ran really seamlessly, I didn't have any graphical issues and it was nice that the newbie menu shit went away after a couple levels so I didn't have it staring at me.
So far everything is very well put together.
All in all it was a lot of fun, I look forward to continuing my fun tonight!
