Re: Age of Conan reviews
I'm sure most of those UI things will come in the near future with updates.

Re: Age of Conan reviews
another UI downfall is targeting nearby mobs/toons, like eq2 using the TAB button to alternate. still haven't figured it out, or maybe i'm just slow.
thanks for teh tip on switching instances. once again, the UI is a bit screwy, and didn't even notice it

Re: Age of Conan reviews
people are already working on custom UI's. and funcom plans on releasing a thing that you can use to design your own UI's.
There is one out (edit - custom UI not the tool) on the beta forums i know that, but im too lazy to find it.
And yea, there are a lot of little things that need to be tweaked that they dropped the ball on, but they are just that, little things.
I would guess within a month, most of the little problems should be ironed out and not be a problem anymore. The only thigns that worry me are balance issues in the upcoming levels =\

Re: Age of Conan reviews
There are two custom UIs, one is on Cursed gaming and the other is in the AoC official forums general gameplay section (but that one sucks).
The game gets way better once you're outside of Tortage, though I'm only lvl 21 its still getting better.
Also I'll admit the UI grows on you once you've messed with it for awhile, I absolutely couldn't stand it at first.

are you seeing balance issues already? I know that on my 13 guardian i can gank 15-16lvl players, and about teh same for mobs. Been one-shot nuked dead a couple of times, but so far guardian is pretty sweet. Arrows from rangers don't do massive dmg like in eq2 (thank god). Was battling 3 toons last night, one being a ranger, and his arrows were doing very little damage. I still got ganked though, then spawn camped a bit. fun as all hell.

Greetings!
You have been a long and thrustworthy participant in our community, and as such we would like to thank you for helping us form Age of Conan into the marvelous product it is today. The last weeks has seen some serious enhancment to the game, and with the release we will be opening several new areas and neverbefore seen content in the launch version of the game. What and where it is? You have to find out for yourself!
As a sign of gratitude for your aid, we are pleased to offer you the in-game item used by those loyal to King Conan: The Drinking Cape. This item will allow your characters (one game account only) to free of charge demand the very sought after alcholic drink of "Ambrosia" - free and in unlimited supplies for life! After having claimed your cape, merely find one of the kegs in the finer Inns of Hyboria and click it whilst wearing your cape to receive your drink.

I think things will be more balanced when people are 80, last night I(level 18 dark templar) kileld a guardian and 2 rogues, all level 17 because I was just regenerating so much hp. So maybe there are some balance issues at low levels, but I hear it gets better.

I haven't yet no, even tho in a group with me (necro, ToS, DarkTemp) all around 22-24 we were taking 2-3 30-38's at a time
But we also had a plan and didn't just run in and go AHHH I KILL NUKE NUKE YAYY!
Anyway, Just worried about how its going to be around 60-80, but we'll know soon enough!

Re: Age of Conan reviews
suprised to hear many dont like the ui. I think the ui is great, simple, to the point and does not intrude, and can be moved around, i dont know what else you want in an ui. it fit that atmosphere as well.
