Re: Age of Conan reviews
So far AoC very smooth. I know there was some hiccup earlier, but when i got home today around 5pm est, i downloaded a few patches (which went really fast) and went to play. Played for about 8 hours. No bugs, no crashes, no lag, no performance issues of any kind.
I have very avg pc:
8800gt card, AMD 3800X2 proc, 2mb ram. Runs excellent on medium setting.
looking forward to more play tomorrow.

Re: Age of Conan reviews
A machine with an 8800 isn't an average machine.

Re: Age of Conan reviews
I enjoy playing it but I still wonder why they made it so linear. Everyones doing the same quests and so there's quite often a fight for the mobs/items to pick up.
That wouldn't be so annyoing if they didnt make quests where you have to pick up 3 items that are on a 20sec respawn timer while 20 to 30 people try to loot faster than you.
That will get better but there's always gonna be a fight for some quests

Tortage is horrible, it only has so many quests and EVERYONE is doing them. After Tortage it opens up a bit. I'm glad I pushed through to 22 and got the hell out today. It will be a long time before I roll an alt lol!

Re: Age of Conan reviews
yeah, tortage reminds me of DDO (which is not a pleasant reminder). but keep in mind, tortage was actually designed to be 100% single-player. they only added multiplayer option to it due to player feedback. that's why it feels really small.
tortage is basically the isle of refuge for AoC.
