1 to 50 is mostly solo, but 50+ is a lot of grouping and 60+ is just about mandatory grouping dunegon grinding/instances.

Its similiar to any MMO, just soloing to a bit higher level since the cap is 80 at launch, instead of 50.

This would be akin to solo'ing to 20 and then grouping to 50 at EQ2 launch, which you could do.

Thats not as bad I guess.

Just because 50-80 is 30 levels doesn't mean it's comparable to 1-30 or 1-50. Do I really need to explain this? Your buddy might be closer to 55.

I saw an 80 today, but you know he hasn't slept. The level grind is not what AoC is. It's about all the other things, like PvP, sieges, etc.

I figured as much, either that or the player botted his way there.

What level do the sieges start at? Or is that open to any?

I don't know anything about sieges. I just broke out of the tutorial. PvP is fun tho!

I got a taste of mentoring last night. You actually mentor up in AoC, it's pretty cool. I saw some of higher level dungeons (~40), they were amazing, Vanguard-like in appearance and size. Once you escape the tutorial the zones becomes amazingly large and extremely detailed.

Sanctum of Burning Souls is very well designed dungeon. This game may have instances but zone like this are massive. It has a very "epic" sense of scale. Moreso than any other game I have played. Loving it.

PC Gamer mag this month gives a registration code to get an in-game item. Gate to your racial city once per 24hrs.

Just giving the heads up since i'm sure more than a few people would love the item, but not know about it otherwise.

Enjoy~

Uninstalled and cancelled both EQ2 and WoW since starting AoC... Loving it, still need to upgrade my vid card though, i lag pretty bad in cities (Tortage is the worst, but stick it out because the lag all but disappears when you get out) Currently have a Dark Templar at almost 26, I know everyone says they're like shadowknights but I never played one for more than 10 levels so I can't compare. I have always started with mage/caster types in every game I've played, and the DT is kind of a breath of fresh air. I have more taunting abilities than a guardian of the same level, and still have average to good dps in defensive. Done about 50/50 grouping and solo, you do have the ability to group all the way to 20 without doing any nighttime questing (solo) but you can't leave Tortage without doing them lol
