I have an EQ2 account. I've been off and on for a while. And its like Gaige said, I have months worth of time on Lao, why would I start all over on something that I really don't care for?

I think this pretty much sums up my feelings aswell. I like wow, I am in a good guild and I like the people that I raid/group with. And like spikke said there if I was still in eq2 yea I would totally leave for AoC.

So, you haven't even tried it yet....and you're calling it shit? Welp, I've played both....and compared to AoC....EQ2 is shit. On my 4 year old box, AoC runs like butter on medium settings. EQ2, even on low I get shuddering now and then....lousy coding. Gameplay.....it blows away anything EQ2 has to offer...but I can see you don't like change. You rather just stand there...send your pet...cast a few spells...dead mob...rinse repeat....booooooooring. (I'm assuming you play a Conj) Whatever. I'm sure EQ2 will last for a few more years...have fun!

20 i believe. 10-20 hours of gametime. It's actually quite a bit bigger than the isle of refuge, now that's i've had more time to play, it's more akin to Isle of Refuge + all the noob area quests in whatever racial start area you get into on EQ2.

So think IoR + Castleview + Qeynos Sewer + Graveyard. Something like that. Basically small and linear to teach you your skills but big enough to be able to explore a bit once you get past level 12 or so.

That's like staying with someone who cheated on you and spends all of your money because you could just go out with someone who is OK, and only OK-looking. Nothing wrong with playing the field a bit.

Don't bother telling us to stay with that bitchy, money grubbing whore because you're too complacent to make a change.

I haven't played EQ2 in about two years ( on and off-ish) so I haven't really dedicated myself to an MMO just yet, though I'm going to. All the old crew want me to get AoC, but I'm not sure if I want to. I played the beta, and it just didn't get to me like EQ2 beta did in the beginning. I'm still up in the air.

Well, I have my Age of Conan early access client all downloaded and patched, and my hard drive defragged after that massive install. I'm all good to go for the early launch tomorrow. My experience with the stress test was less than perfect, but in the end I think I feel the good outweighed the bad, and the potential outweighed the launch hurdles. I've had the game pre-ordered for months and months, and Saturdays are my day off, so I figure 'what the hell', let's get in on some early access.

Wow. I am genuinely and pleasantly surprised at how good this game is. It's almost like I'm not even playing the same game that I was during the stress test. I know there have been some minor issues with the early access start this afternoon, I myself am one of those who are currently unable to claim their pre-order items. However my experience in the game has been largely extremely positive, and as far as launches go, I'm pretty impressed. And running at 1920x1200 with almost everything on high, the game is downright gorgeous, and running smoothly.

Again, I am very impressed. I'll talk more about the game on Monday, but right now I want to get back to playing.

As promised, I am Amon, Tempest of Set, on the Omm server. Feel free to say hello. I probably won't be doing much grouping just yet, I'm still exploring and getting my bearings in the newbie areas. I'll do my best to reply to /tells, but if I'm getting bombarded, please understand if I don't get to respond right away.
