At level 10 for the tombstone/debuff for PVE. As for PVP, I am not sure what system they actually went live with since I don't pew pew.

WTG! 20 levels in 24 hours. Sounds like AoC is gonna be around a long time. And by long time, I mean a few months 'til people burn out and reach cap with nothing to do.

As far as release goes it was one of the smoothest game releases I have ever seen. Granted, we don't have everyone playing right now because it is early release. It's absolutely gorgeous. Also, the leveling slows down a ton after 20. I was in the open beta so I didnt make it to 80 (due to level restrictions). I plan on sticking around and seeing how this thing winds up.

Here's my review:

I tested this game for a while. I can't talk about what I did in testing except up to lvl 13, but I can honestly say, starting yesterday was like starting ALL OVER! I was pleasantly surprised with the last-minute changes (I purposely cut my playtime to almost nothing in the last week before this early launch) and the pre-launch has been extremely smooth. Even the memory leak seems to be on its way out. I played for 8 hours straight before I saw the first sign of it, and then it fixed itself and I had no more glitches for another 4 hours. Played for about 6 hours this morning and it is still wonderful. I got through my normal "humps" of levels I dislike quite smoothly, I thought I'd be stuck at them a while like I was in beta, but I barely slowed down.

The game looks spectacular. It looks even better than it did in beta. My video card is a bit old and uses old technology so it struggles on the very highest of settings, but using the default "Medium" settings and then cranking stuff up gives me a nice steady 25ish fps (fine for me, my old eyes don't notice much over that) and looks absolutely spectacular.

Its nice to have alot more people around (beta was pretty sparse, obviously) and finding a group this morning was almost an accident, where I literally tripped over this guy doing the same quests as me, and we just spent a few hours together grinding out a few levels.

Anyway, if you're on the fence, anyone who got a CE got some buddy keys, so hit up your friends (all mine are claimed sorry!) and you can try it for free. Seriously, if your rig is less than a year old, this game is worth the cash for it.

Yeah like the others are saying. This was one pretty damn smooth launch. The typical few hour delay . But damn it was worth it to see how beautiful the graphics were.
I was in beta also and it looks much better now then just a week ago in beta.
Almost zero lag and no memory leakage after playing for like 12 hours non stop last night with the settings cranked up to the max.
I just wish i had dx10 to see if it looks any better then my 2 8800s with dx9.
Only thing i think they should change is for pvp. Put some kind of time restriction from when someone can kill you after you zone into a zone or respawn.
Hate seeing noobs just sitting at a zone in killing people before they even have time to finish zoning in. or a group of people camping the respawn spot. Glad to see that Funcom starting suspending some of them for doing it. But some kind of like 30 second imunity timer would be nice. would atleast give you time to zone in and make sure you are buffed and for necros atleast have your pets up.
But other then that. this is one beautiful game to look at and if you are on the fence about it. Atleast try it.

You probably wont ever see weapons or amor with particle effects and shit like you do in eq2 but hell AOCs armor looks pretty bad ass. nothing beats running around with a pythons head on for helm.

lvl 20 is fast cuz at 20 you actually go out into the real world...80 is cap and will take a month or more to achieve (exploit free ofc) This game is fucking amazing and the biggest breath of fresh air i've had gaming wise in years...I feel like when I loaded eq2 for the first time...Hooked and cant put it down...I can't wait till all the doomsayers quit eq2 and come to AoC...And they will trust me

There will be more to do at the end game in AoC besides raiding (atleast on the pve server). All of the PvP instanced games will be available on the pve servers. Look up what they have as far as sieging, controlling castles, building player cities, etc.. its looking to be really interesting.

Great info for people like me that didnīt pre order. It seems Aoc is worth picking up while waiting for Warhammer. For me, going back to Wow or EQ2, just wasnīt an option. Thanks!
