You're a complete idiot if you think AoC isn't horribly optimized and laggy as shit. Grats though, you're level 24 now, I think that puts pretty much everything in perspective.

All chars got deleted 2 weeks ago retard. That means everyone started over again. Yes there are people that where 80 after what? 4 days. Who cares really. I aint playing that char higher now, cause I want to wait playing untill the game releases.
Kinda going through all classes to see what they are like, and I have been playing the game alot after the last big patch, and there is never any fucking lag at all. The only time I have seen lag was on the stress test day, and who cares about that.

Re: Age of Conan
Ok - the technical part aside. What chars did u play?
I wonder what it is like playing a healer in AoC! Should be different than in eq2. They told that u have to be close to the combat and fight for yourself and stuff. Anyone played a healer? (Currently I think a shami would be nice choice for me) Any reports? Is it more fun then just clicking heals and cures?

Re: Age of Conan
Bear Shamn is a really cool healer class. Good group hots and a ton of survivability solo, I solo'd one up to 70 with no problem. The game does have a few lag issues, but beta is not whats being released and allegedly a lot of it is already addressed, so only release will tell. They've been very diligent on addressing player issues, so to be honest, even if the game isn't 100% on launch, they'll continue working on it till it is. The fact that they regularly converse with beta testers on the forums says a lot. These guys actually care.

Re: Age of Conan
copied from AoC forums of a good post about healing in AOC
A lot of people felt that healing was underpowered in beta because they are used to the way other MMOs do it. I felt that way too until…..I learned to heal the Age of Conan way!
In order to be a good healer in this game you need to think along the same lines as when you learned the combat system—“This is new, it is nothing like I played before, therefore I know nothing.” Once you can admit this to yourself you will become a better healer. The following is what I learned:
In AoC, every healer is the same but different. What this means in terms of gameplay is that each healer as the same type of heals but they use them differently (I will focus mainly on the ToS and Bear Shaman because I played them the most, but everything I say applies to the PoM). Each healer has a moderate cooldown HoT (about 15-20sec), a short cooldown cone HoT (less than 5 sec cooldown) and then a long cooldown burst heal (1 min).
The following is what I found to be the best way to heal:
Step 1) Always, always, always keep you moderate cooldown HoT up whenever possible. For the ToS that means use your Life of Set spell whenever the cooldown is up. For a Bear Shaman use Renewal whenever the cooldown is up.
Step 2) With your moderate cooldown HoT ticking away, use your cone HoT before you and your team enters combat, and refresh that when the HoT duration is over. With this HoT and the moderate cooldown HoT you will be healing at least 18 health per second regardless of feats (this will only increase with feats). In my experience, this spell combination alone kept my group up very well and gave me plenty of time to cast my lightning as a ToS or bash some skulls with a BS.
Step 3) Save the burst heal for emergencies (i.e. with your HoTs ticking, people have dropped to 50%). For a ToS the burst heal is Vitalizing Jolt. Burst healing in this game is considerably weaker than other games, so because of that you must start your burst heals when people are around 50% health. I found that the burst heal when used in conjunction with the other HoTs already ticking, you could easily keep your team up for a long time giving them plenty of opportunities to defeat your enemy.
If you follow these three steps as any healer, you will be very effective and feel like you have an influence in battle.
In summary, if you don’t learn to heal in AoC you will feel that healing is gimped. It is not! It is very useful, but by no means is in the end-all-be-all “oh ****!” button that it is in other games. Like the combat system, it requires player skill to be done to the fullest, and patience. If you follow the 3 steps I have outlined you will no doubt have a fun time with any healing class and feel useful.
If anyone else would like to share their observations of the healing classes to help everyone learn2play, please add!

That just shows that no matter how cool the Dev's are, that won't stop a game from sucking.
I've yet to see something that will turn me off of Conan.
It's the muscles.
