I would have said Bioshock, but I prefer System Shock. Also, since I'm a snob, I dislike anything FPS, TPS (Third Person Shooter; Socom, Splinter Cell, Gears of War, et al), and Sports Games. Hell, I'd play an O'ekaki game on my DS before playing anything Madden, NCAA, or NHL.

I'm partial to RPG's/JRPG's, RTS, turn based strategy, sandbox games and survival horror.

There's a huge difference between Japanese RPG's and American RPG's though IMO. There's a huge cross-culture difference, and a big reason a lot of Japanese games don't come here.

2D Japanese fighting games are a guilty pleasure of mine...even though some have called it a dying genre for years now.
