What are some of the best games to be released this decade so far in your opinions?

My choices in no real order..

Fallout 3
Bioshock
Metal Gear Solid 4

Runners up..

Grand Theft Auto IV
Silent Hill 2
Half-Life 2
Halo trilogy
Metroid Prime
Warcraft III

Well my favorite games were pretty much any of the games made by rare in the late 1990s (donkey kong 64, banjoo kazooie, perfect dark, goldeneye 007) I have fonder memories playing donkey kong and goldeneye with all my cousins as a kid then playing most the games I have on the xbox+ps2.

but if your talking critically acclaimed best selling games the first few are pretty obvious i think..

the halo series.
metal gear solid series.
grand theft auto series.
half life 2 and CSS
madden is always good
wow makes a fuckton of money

FIFA '09

1.25 million games are played online every day. And over 141 million games of FIFA 09 have been played on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 since the game's European launch last September. The most of any online console game.

-EQ1, up through pre-PoP expansions
-the Halo trilogy
-Warcraft3 (specifically for its huge variety of fun custom maps that popped up)
-the explosive growth of online poker gaming

Those are pretty much where I've spent the most time w/ the most enjoyment.

Yes but regardless of the crazy number of players it's not actually that great. The gameplay is still restricted in that classic FIFA way. Sensible World of Soccer on Amiga was the best football game ever.

Nah that's nostalgia talking there about Sensible World of Soccer. Dont get me wrong I played that game to death, even more than Kick Off 2 but Fifa has it beat, the recent versions have finally seen the gameplay catch up with the presentation.

Online Fifa on the XBox is crazy difficult and VERY frustrating for new players but that doesnt mean its not a great game. Cannot wait for Fifa 2010. Each version of Fifa improves the gameplay, I just wished they added some Championship Manager/Football Manager style options in.
