I agree with this. Groups are fun when its several other players playing each character in the group but when you have to control several toons at the same time its annoying. The only time that has been fun to me is in Final Fantasy games with the ATB system. Ill still have to check this game out but Ill wait a few weeks and see what everyone says.

Not impressed. But it should pick up, I'd imagine.

I don't have my copy yet (ordered it late), but if KotOR and Mass Effect are any indication, it'll take a few hours for it to not suck. Taris and the Citadel respectively were painful.

Unfortunately the game revolves around this multiple-role fight mechanic that is nearly unbearable in my mind.

KotOR and FF12 were built around that (if it's the same thing), and I liked them both.

Really not sure about this game, I've read a few reviews and it sounds awesome but I'm not sure I'll get on well with the combat. If it was more like oblivion with a single character and real time combat I'd probably jump on it.

Honestly once you get used to the way the combat works it flows very nicely. You would not believe how detailed you can get with the AI on your groupmates, you can literally give them enough information so you don't ever have to fuck with them and you can literally only worry about yourself.

You can set it so they immediately start healing anyone who drops below 80% health, or throw a regen on them, so they put up shields if people are ranging, or so they charge anyone who is using a bow or magic, tons of shit....

Depending on the role you pick for your main character, would of course change the AI setup on your groupmates, and depending on who you chose to go with you, but I found the AI settings to be very intuitive after really looking at them for the first time.

This game is utterly awesome, period.

Taris was OK I just didn't like the backtracking.

Also I might try this game out, for kicks. Maybe after I've played KOTOR 2 though.
