Re: Borderlands
It's not like PC gaming even really exists anymore outside of MMOs, anyway.

I like PC's for MMO's, RPG's and FPS games
I like consoles for Adventure Games, Racing Games, Fighting Games and Sports games.
I just think the platforms are better at different types of games.

This tbh. Consoles and PC's have different strengths and weaknesses.
The statement "It's not like PC gaming even really exists anymore outside of MMOs, anyway." is just plain wrong.
Just off the top of my head... CSS, TF2, BF2, BF2142, C&C, SupCom, CoD, L4D, Empire Total War, Sins of a Solar Empire, Dragon Age, Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Red Faction etc.. None of which are MMO's and yet are all very popular games. The list of good PC games just goes on and on, as does the list of good console games...

Re: Borderlands
You named quite a few of those which are available on the 360 (Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and I'd bet Dragon Age, though I don't have my copy), and a lot of them play a hell of a lot better on said platform.
PC gaming is dying. I neglected to include FPSes, because I don't really count them as games. That shit taints consoles, too.

Re: Borderlands
Is the game cell-shaded? The screenshots I've seen it looks like it could be but it's hard to tell without seeing the game in action..

Re: Borderlands
It's pretty standard fps. Everything has a weak spot that you aim for to cause maximum damage and get a critical hit bonus. Weapons with fire/burning damage proc annihilates every creature that doesn't use fire attacks.
When you die you sit down on one knee and your view slowly distorts as you have a few seconds to get a second wind which is gained by killing an enemy while in this immobile state or being resurrected by a friend.
If the timer runs out you get resurrected at the new-u station for a small monetary fee that makes no difference level 20+ because there is virtually nothing to spend money on at that point.
The most fun was the vehicle combat in the game and the alien weapons with unlimited ammo(pew pew pew pew!).
The boss fights are unfortunately very simple.

Re: Borderlands
Just finished the 1st playthrough on X-box live Co-op with the same 3-4 players through the game, It's one of the best Co-Op FPS games out there but after watching my nephews try splitscreen I wouldn't advise getting the game for that. Navigating through the equipment and talent screens with half a screen is just horrid.
