well it comes with a few flaws no open lobbies
and track adjusting in terms of tuning is a mess online
I saved already 10 tuning setups for my car lol

no penalties yet for ramming and pushing cars off the road , theres way too much abuse to win races and im not talking brake maneuvers in sharp curves

You're talking about Prologue... And it's almost 2 years old now (Japanese launch).

Anyway, getting an Elite and FM3 for Christmas, can't wait.

Its been delayed for like 4 years or something crazy. I loved the first 3 GTs but you do realize GT5 was supposed to be a PS3 launch title right?

Forza 3 is so amazing I just don't see how GT5 could be better.

GT5 was never meant to be a PS3 launch title (they were doing the GT HD bullshit instead), and it have never been delayed as it have never been given an official date.

Do it even matter which one is better? Get both and have the best of both worlds.

For some reason I blow balls at racing games. I can do half decent at the Need For Speed: Underground ones... but realistic racing games I fucking suck hard.

Because the PS3 Hardware is a missconception , limited due to its GFX and System RAM it can't handle large Textures thats better solved on the Xbox with their shared ram system

the main issue in the first place with the ps3 was that they didn't build a console to play on , no they created a multimedia system
and there's the flaw, theres way too much hardware in the standard package to keep the costs low , so they had restrict something

it's not even because developers can't handle the cell chip , the main issue is really that they have problems to get smooth textures to work
Uncharted 2 shows its possible but the its extremely time consuming
to do, my guess is theyre using Mega Texturing which reduces the ram usage , I seriously don't believe they have a hard time with Cell when the companies work on Sequels
And guess where the issue with the 1080p Upscaling is coming from (neither xbox nor ps3 games support native 1080p) , you know about Tearing slowdowns etc ? all a result of the limited RAM , 256MB is just not enough (256 gfx and 256 system, xbox shares 512 for both )

and we can thank Epic Games for convincing MS to use 512 instead of 256 otherwise Gears of War would have been graphicwise a pretty poor game :p

in Race Sims you need to utilize the break tbh thats the deal

do you drive cars in RL well then you should know that NFS wouldn't work so well in RL but RL driving works pretty well in Sims

Use the break before corner. And follow the rule for corners: slow in, fast out. If you try to go fast in, you are just going to slide off.
And most racing games have a driving line these days, just follow it and accelerate/brake according to the color it show.

Okay, so I guess you developed games on the PS3 as you seem to know everything about it?

Uncharted 2 uses Blu-ray and HDD to stream textures, just like games from Insomniac Games. And i'm pretty sure MegaTexture/Virtual Texturing is exclusive to id Tech 5.

PlayStation 3 support native 1080p, and I think Xbox 360 do too.
There have been a few games on PS3 that have been native 1080p. Ridge Racer was 1920 x 1080p @ 60FPS. Also, Polyphony Digital have said they are going to try to make Gran Turismo 5 run in 1920 x 1080p, but no promises.
