Re: Kalley is a a drama queen
I think I must say again.... I never had one problem with anyone in the guild, before I left and when I returned.
The guild was founded with the basic principle that once you joined NSS, whatever rank you earned you would always have it. There is nothing wrong with that method it is just how we did business.
While I was guild leader, several members left the game or guild for whatever reasons. When they came back, I did not treat them as an outsider or make them wait for anything. I sent them a guild invite, promoted them to whatever rank they had, and we moved on. The guild was set up in way so that rank really did not matter that much and prior accomplishments by guild members meant something. Every member of NSS earned their right to be in the guild, and they maintained their rank in the guild even if they quit playing and got booted due to inactivity.
When I returned and saw that this basic core value of the guild had been tossed out the window, it took one phone call to the other co-leader to fix it. To make major changes to a guild is one thing, but to toss out the core values of what the guild was founded for and stands for is unacceptable.
I could care less if we are not raiding now, and our members are either not playing or in other guilds. But I can promise you this, if any player that was ever in NSS comes to me and wants to rejoin the guild to be amongst old friends, I AM NOT going to tell them they need to start over at the bottom or even go through any type of trial period.
I have nothing against the prior co-leader, the officers or anyone that left the guild. They was doing what they thought was the best thing, and I did as well.
If the guild turns into a small guild of friends, then so be it. We will play the game and be happy knowing that we did not change the guild that we loved so much to accommodate the latest "flavor of the month" or take away the basic principles as to why the guild was founded.
