Today I logged in and noticed that one of our members had cleaned out three of our guild vaults.


Watch out for this guy! He basically stole a bunch of junk from our guild bank and runied his name in the process.

Seriously though, is this recent wave of people getting their accounts stolen being hacked as in 'SOE's servers were haxx0rd and tehy stole mah infoz' or hacked as in either 'I bought plat and gave these gold farming retards my info' or 'someone that has my info hates me and cleaned me out'?

We keep all of our most prized possession under lock and key in vault 1. Vault 2-4 is open to anyone in the guild and mainly serves as a place to store things that people wish to give to the guild instead of vendorizing.

Considering that NSS does not throw a guild invite out to anyone that ask, I never thought something like this would happen. All new recruits undergo a screen process to at least make sure they are not young kids with attitudes, and at least they can understand (does not have to speak) English. Most interviews are done over vent, as in Mowkade's case.

Maybe his account was hacked. He seemed like an alright guy the couple of times I chatted and grouped with him, maybe I was wrong. If his account was indeed hacked, he could have at least jumped on vent and told us.

Yeah, he has been offline several days, and I had not checked the bank logs for vaults 2-4. I guess that shows you how much I really cared about the stuff in there. I merely posted this here so people would be aware incase he tried to join another guild.

I could care less about the shit that was taken, hell he did us a favor and cleaned out the bank, one less thing I have to do or ask an officer to do later.

I don't know the guy, but I'll say that Mowkade is a slightly farmery sounding name, but I don't think that's the case.


It looks to me like his account was hacked and you need to do some researching before grabbing the torch and pitchforks. Was the guy hacked? Was he not? Then act based on your results, rather than automatically assume he's some assgoblin guild thief, especially given the recent wave of account hacking.

Also, does your guild use guildportal? Cause if they do, that makes it even more likely that his account was hacked.
