Re: Weapon delay and haste
By overrated i meant misconceptions and making up things about it. They are all appealing for different reasons and bring a little playstyle/utility kick with them instead. Being able to unload faster just seems to be the most popular one, but you dont lose much or gain much whichever way you go so basically you are free to chose or dont chose at all and just put your points in other stuff.

Re: Weapon delay and haste
How are you each spec'd?
It seems repeated stabbing, or focus on teh Poison enchancements and Frontload.
My inclination is the latter would lead to higher DPS, but what do i know?

Re: Weapon delay and haste
Specced for Frontload, Repeated Stabbing, with Exacting tossed in there. I think you could also argue Repeated + Bleeding.
I'd argue the Apply Poison upgrade is pretty significant now, especially if you are in MT group.

Re: Weapon delay and haste
I am bleeding and poisons, but I did not take frontload, instead I am sinking extra pts into upgrading the temp buffs.
I was considering dropping excessive bleeding and further upgrading other individual abilities and just have no end abilities from the eof tree. Thats about how highly I value them. But, I believe excessive bleeding helps the raid at least a little, so i keep it. I think the upgrades the our dots in the bleeding tree are the best things available on the eof page.
Why is apply poison so significant now?

Re: Weapon delay and haste
I've seen it do about 9% on a zerker MT zone-wide.

Re: Weapon delay and haste
I specced for repeated stabbing and frontload. The additional poison damage isn't much, but it's something, an extra proc. Repeated stabbing just feels nice, I don't pretend it does much. It seems really nice combined with jesters/alacrity and fanatacism. Walking blender ftw!
The reason I liked that line was the enhancements to crippling strike and sinister strike. I put points in the self buffs too, but of course I couldn't max them. It all works ok.
Apply poison.. lol.. people fight over it now!

Re: Weapon delay and haste
I have got to check the parses for the people I apply poison on. I have no clue how much it does. Though, I noticed on one of my early raids, that whoever had it kept getting aggro. I had it on a troub, i think, initially, and he kept dying and I got tired of re-applying, so i put it on a zerker ... and damned if he didn't get a bad case of the deads all of a sudden. I always wondered if that could have just been from the extra dps, or if there was another hate generating component to the spell. I have heard its generally supposed to go on your tank.

Re: Weapon delay and haste
If your tank is holding aggro, then you want it on them. Otherwise you put it on whoever will do the most damage with it. Usually a zerker, pally, brawler are pretty good choices, then a melee healer or a bard.

Re: Weapon delay and haste
I followed cochy's advice instead of going bleeding + tricks i said fuck it but still have AA's in cloaked assault those bleeders didnt do much for my dps anywho. Im now physicality+ tricks. I like the physicality line, gives me an anti AE i still got room for hemotoxin and i maxed out all my temporary buffs (exacting, honed, DF etc) also get away makes me immune to AE's and is an instant cast stealth with a fairly short recast which is nice
As far as im concerned high delay weapons maximize haste and dps mods and crits
as for a minimum delay there is such a thing 0.7 sec is the lowest delay youll get from any weapon ive tested it before
if need be ill check again :O
