One of the best procs in the game? Is that so? The zerker i normally put mine on tells me it does about 80 dps for him zonewide. Is that really one of the best procs in the game? I would think the procs off my master crafted rings would do better than that. Plus, thats a single target, aren't there people who have group wide procs that do more than that? Heck, I once had a caster tell me that one of the melee procs he put on me gave him like 400dps zonewide (didn't show up in my parse, naturally I cried foul).

Seriously though, how much does that birdcage do? Its something you can use every fight, right?

Apply Poison is the best melee proc in-game. There is no melee proc that is superior to it for a single target. Your caster is full of shit saying it added 400dps, caster procs are fucking crap.

It is one of the best procs in the game, especially if you have the AA as well. Cant recall exactly what % of DPS it did for our bruiser, but it was significant. Good enough for him to beg for it. Dont knock it just cause your guildmates dont have the ability to use it to its fullest.

Was the zerk right about it being worth 80 dps? Whats it take to use it more effectively, and who can use it best? I would assume the key would be the same as it for us with our hemotoxin, slow weapons with lots of haste. I think the zerker is close to ideal because such a large percentage of thier damage comes from auto-attack.

Yes, its very good for a single target proc. . . around 150-200dps or so and more with AAs. My point was that its wrong to just pick on 1 or 2 things we have over rangers without looking at the big picture while totally ignoring their ranged advantage and bird/trap (yes they suck but you have them). Unlike rangers who always make raids we gotta make our worth somehow or be replaced for a second dispatch or a second ranger.

I assure you theres nothing to worry about, the crazy procs will be fixed soon cause i am getting like 1k dps out of poisoned seeds.

Yes, Rangers ALWAYS make raids, while Assassins don't! Quit being full of shit. As a raid leader I'm not going to sit either a Ranger or an Assassin for any DPS class. They're equal, except when there's no other hate transfers available, then the Ranger's sitting for the Assassin.

Satinah has a point. In the majority of guilds either the assassin sucks and its better to have someone else like a ranger or the guild itself sucks and needs extra dispatches and such to succeed. In either case the assassin is going to get sat most likely. In Dissos case neither is true since Cochy is a beast and you dont need that extra utility to succeed. I think thats the extreme positive situation, but isnt likely going to be the norm. Ive been sat plenty when the guild felt it needed more utility than DPS.

I'm curious to what raid utility is being refered to with the ranger trap? Are you having flashbacks to early DoF when it rooted epic's or something. Because that got nerf'd years ago. I've never used the trap on a raid and for the life of me can't think of any raiding situation where it has any effectiveness. Unless your considering it an extra AE that does a whopping 600-800 damage and requires a mob to actually move directly over it. (2m recast on trap)

And the Bird??!?! It's nearly as useless as the trap. On trash mobs it's pointless as they die in 30s or less. And on named it's not much better since most have multiple AE's which kill it along with all the other swarm pets. And the minimal amount of hate it absorbs before getting killed has little to no effect. The damm thing also needs to hit the mob for that part to function. Which on orange mobs it rarely does. (1m 30s recast on bird)

Comparing either or both of those to Applied Poison which is up 100% of the time on 100% of the fights on a raid is just laughable.

And no, i am not comparing apply poison to your fucking bird and trap, i just have to list them since well you have them! What i am comparing them to is your RANGED ADVANTAGE + your fucking bird and + you fucking trap.
