Re: Raid group
Assasssin
Wizard- +STR, +INT(all mages have, but the INT portion doesn't stack), melee proc
Warlock- melee proc, +4% proc chance
Troub- +8% crits, 40%(around that) deaggro, +10% double attack, haste, +STR
Illusionist- haste, double attack
Fury- haste/dps proc, +INT, +STR (from agitate)
Might have missed a few benefits, since its just off the top of my head. Thats the group I loved.

Re: Raid group
how do you guys rate illusionists?
I was dropped from a dirge/mystic group in favour of being put in a group of randoms, illu, ranger, pally, fury(agitate on the monk), monk
I had rapidity and IA, which was nice; but am unsure of whether a dirge would be better?
I'm in 2 minds..
boon (+skills) tombs calm(proc), cob vs 75 haste and 25% double attack
I think that I'd still prefer the dirge; but maybe it's just me?
the illu is nice, although I still feel if I dont get the troubs haste as well, (and agitate ofc) I'm really missing out.
I've also noticed when we get a spare slot in the mage group, we swap another scout, or brawler in and give them agitate.. Personally when I parse 2.4-3.3, why give someone a buff that although will add up to more dps on a percentage based graph of personal dps, on a raid-wide might not?
maybe i'm just whinging cos i didnt get the buffs that make me at the top of the parse.. I think I have at least some valid points though

Yeah your right, an Illusionist buffing you on their own isn't anything special, although it may seem nice (and it kinda is) you'll be better off with a Dirge. Don't forget Dirges can also spec for 10% double attack aswell.
However if you had a Troubador and a Illusionist, then you will be better buffed than with a Dirge alone. As most guilds with enough Troubadors would have those two grouped, having the Dirges in other groups. (Namely MT group or Off tank group)

Re: Raid group
shrugs, a troub gives me deagro and 27 haste. its really nothing to write home about (imo) I hit 140 haste in that grp (we run a monk along as well most of the time for the +casting speed/haste raidwide buff)
so pretty much pre-group buffed I sit at 40ish, not counting agility ring procs (which is far better than the str one)

Re: Raid group
MT group - Zerker, Dirge, Coercer, Mystic, Templar , Assassin
Basic Buffs = Zerker mod, DKTM, Fortissmo, DPS mod from Coercer, STR buff from Mystic, Holy Redoubt from Templar, as well (GoB too but doesnt really count, heh)
I was in a *Junk* group a few weeks ago, we had an excess of dirges.. (I say junk cause it was a fluke group, usually 2 group lyceum but had some people bring alts.)
Group 4 DPS setup - Inquis, Dirge, Troub, Assassin, Fury, Dirge
My favourite setup to date, I gots most of the buffs + constant cob... *droool*

Re: Raid group
An illusionist by themselves isn't all that great. It requires a bard in addition at least. In fact, the *only* decent 1 buffer is a dirge. Also you need a bit of STR from somewhere and many groups without a bard do not have one.

Re: Raid group
Don't forget all bards should have DKTM crit bonus. Crit % is critical for virtually every assassin build ever made.

Re: Raid group
Inquis, Dirge, Illu, Assassin, Brig, Bruiser.
DPS mod from inquis, dirge and bruiser
Act of Conviction, IA, Haste, Fanat.
Illu spreads 88 haste to 4 melee classes (very beneficial for total raid dps)
You're looking at DPS Cap, over 120haste + CoB, 35% dbl attk, offensive procs, and 4 melee classes parsing very well.
Other groups- Troub, Brig, Fury, Illu, Wiz, War. (Hybrid group benefitting 2 high-end casters plus not wasting AI / agitate on a troub.
Zerker, Pally, Templar, Mystic, Dirge, Illu. (pally and zerker can OT with Zek Axe with all that haste zerker with dbl attk, plus mystic/templar proc increaser goes well with pally procs)
Guard, swash, defiler, Templar, Coercer, dirge - Standard MT group
