Last night I was playing my assassin in Lyceum, and for the first time in about half a year, the GDoH dropped for us. My guild's raids are all NBG, /ran 1000, no dkp, etc. But even then, usually the raid leader would have awarded an item like that right to the assassin present, but since the DW changes they decided that any scout class would benefit just as much from the GDoH as an assassin.

So the roll goes out, and sure enough, the Brigand wins it. This brigand was parsing around 1800 before he got that, and after he did, he was parsing around 2k, and was still only occasionally beating me.

Basically I'm wondering if the GDoH is as beneficial to any scout as it is to an assassin now that the DW changes went through?

and we haven't accomplished much in EoF to get better weaps from there, so safe to assume that the only gear we have is KoS stuff.

Yes, it is good for any scout, except Rangers, after the changes provided they are either Bards, Assassins, or Rogues who are spec'd STR/AGI.

It'd be worth you doing the SoD quest line to get the lucanic sabre, it's not quite as nice as GDoH, but the delay and damage range makes it a decent alternative.

I'm in CMM pages part of SoD with my assassin, hoping to get the lucanic relatively soon, until then i'm using oblivion's edge and DoN

yea, gdoh rocks for all scouts (always did for bards really, just was so rare that it wasnt seen that often)
there are still great choices for scouts tho- with awesome 1hrs like ccm and dop, just assassins lose a bit of the monopoly on the dw's

i heard of a guild giving it to their MT, /shrugs. lucanic is far better really

Classes with melee crits will benefit from it more, but it's good for any DW. And the lucanic is not better.

Well imo as a berserker.. ita a great dps weap for me too, i thin kthe best weaps for most assasins are

Soulfire Saber
Axe Of Natural Order
Bisected saber
-all have long delays and huge damage spreads, god fror procs and crits, but that gdoh is now even good for zerks too
