decap timer on set bp doesnt stack?

running ring of 4 winds, and 3 set bonus occasionally(chest gloves helm)
the chest has a reduced timer on decap.
for some reason I dont get the proper recast timer when using it with the ring of 4 winds equipped.. Is this a bug? has it been reported? Or is this ''working as intended'' ?

When you equip your Set BP, you will have 80s taken off. So, instead of 900s, you'll have 820s. Combine with the 50% from the end of STR-line, and then the 5% of the ring, gives you 55% bonus, thus you should be at 820/1.55=~530 seconds, or 8 minutes 50 seconds. Without the Ring you'd be at 9 minutes 6 seconds.

Is it that you think the "proper" recast will be 8 minutes 20 seconds((900/1.55) - 80)? Because if so, that's not how reductions work. Static values are applied first, then they apply the percantage based figures on whatever it is afterwards. Thus it's (900-80)/1.55 to give you the correct value.

Decapitate has a recast of 8 minutes and 21 seconds with Coat of the Cunning and Ring of Four Winds equipped. 8 minutes and 40 seconds without the Ring of Four Winds equipped.

Hrm, so I am wrong, recasts don't seem to work that way. Though cast timers do. Silly game. Either way, wonder what he was complaining about, because it works the % first, then static values on recast, but it's static value then % for cast times. Go figure.

What time did you get and what did you expect?
And did you have either Jester's Cap, Alacrity or Divine Recovery on you or group ?

Im guessing you had hit the "Reuse" cap, easy to do with Decapitate.

i somewhat think i understand what he is saying cause i use the chest as well and the ring and it says 8:21 on recast but after hiting it and then mousing over to veiw cool down timer it says 9 min.

so i dont think it takes something in to consideration.

also i switch the chest peice in and out for decap. dose the chest peice have to be on for 2 min for the effect to take place? or should i be able to put it on then hit decap then take it off and put on my DPS chest peice?

That's beacuse with really long recasts they just show it up in minutes instead of the actual timer, and they round up.

Yeah, just examine the CA and it will show the proper timer. It is working as it should be.

Yes just create a macro on Decapitate to Equip: Coat of the Cunning before you cast Decapitate.
Then simply have your normal breastplate macroed to your DoTs (or whatever) so that it equips it back fast after.
