Racial Traits

Just curious if anyone uses the temporary buff racial traits ever. For instnace, as a Kerra, I have unsheathed claws. It lasts for 2 min and has a 30 min recast. While its active it can proc 63 pts of damage and will proc 1.8 times a minute and I think its got a 4 sec cast (all of that is from memory). All in all it seems really weak. I just found it again last week so I've been throwing it into my regular buff rotation. So far I haven't studied any of those parses to see if its doing any good. I'm just wondering if anyone uses those racial traits. It seems to me that unsheathed claws might be worth it if it were instant cast, but with the long cast, well I'll just wait and see if its showing up on the parse.

What other racial traits are there, and are they useful? Ratonga get a de-aggro, right?

The temporary racial abilities that add damage have such a long recast timer that I remember to click on them about twice a year.

I cast that unsheathed claw one on nameds. Try to get a jester's before the fight so it's up for the next named. Sure it's not a huge proc but every bit counts.

The anti-vampire ones are pretty nice and last 3 minutes. not a racial trait but similar.

You mean the thirsting veil you get from doing the bloodlines quest? I just got that sucker. I've been using it since i got it, but I haven't checked to see if it works on non-vampires. From what folks are saying, I might need to take it out of my regular rotation and save it for the vampire zones. Do you know how that damage shows up on the parser? Is it called thirsting veil?

yes it's Thirsting Veil on the paser and it only works on vampires. It's worth a few K in the zone or so.
