Hi All,

My brother created an Assassin on my account and I'd like to pick up where he left off. So, to this end, I am having issues getting my macro's to work correctly for Jammn's (lvl 56) steath attacks. I'm hoping more experienced players can guide me to the correct macro's. Here they are:

My opener is Cheap Shot, so should be in melee attack mode...

1) Mask of the Night & Punch Blade. (This ones seems to always go off as expected)

2) Surveil and Gore Strike. (This is hit or miss)

3) Stealth and Dealthy Blade (I seem to have issues getting this one to shoot off regularly)

4) Concealment and Assassinate. (Rarely seems to work but with a 10 minute recast... no wonder)

Anyone with some guidance here? Macro's make it much easier for me at least.

Don't macro attacks, you'll be a better Assassin for it.

NO NO NO NO.... thats all wrong sorry to say ... maybe if you want you can macro mask and punch (i got a separate macro key..and also both attacks separate)

For soloing yeah u might not be able to do what i suggest but.... this is what you do
For group dps and raid dps

Sorry dont remember the lower level attack names

you cast all Stealth attacks after concealment... so Concealment then Freezing strike (to get you stealthed ) Jugular (or Garote?) Gorestrike, Deathly blade, Assassinate and then the 2 blue AE attacks...(the faster casting one first)

Get accustomed to run that chain... its whats referred to as the concealment chain
... its our bread and butter for dps

Why macro an attack? Half the fun is manually spamming away. Not to mention if your macro screws up an attack (which can happen often) you just fucked yourself out of some DPS. Macroing Item swaps I can understand, but attacks (especially for an Assassin) is just inane. If you want a job done right, do it yourself. Especially if your just learning the class.

Go with out macros and by the time your 80 you'll be pro. Promise.

I couldn't dream of playing macroed. Its too easy for something to get fucked up in there. And once you play long enough theres absolutely no need for it. Everything becomes second nature.

I'd agree with aduros here. Play the class right and in the end you'll be better for it.

Double thanks for the concealment stealth chain tip. I've played a Swashy to 70 and it seemed Jammn had to be easier then what I was doing. lol

Only Thing I have macro'ed are my stance/villain pathfinding/nero and temps

I use alot of macro's.

Different sets of gear for different things like Raid (Group) gear, Solo gear. I hate changing and looking for the different pieces I want for different purposes. Just a click away.

Macro Murderous Design and Apply Toxins to send PM to whomever I put them on.

/use Manastone. Since clicking it has always put it in my Charm slot. Maybe they changed that with the new update with gear swapping in-combat, I dunno. This works too.

/Assist (MT/MA tank) macro. I really like this one and I strongly suggest it.

Ask for Heart/Shard macro, which is pretty useful as well.

Other than that, don't macro CA's. I tried that and it lasted for maybe an hour. Nothing is more painful than macro'ing masked/puncture and having something like Decap or Killing up and Spy is down. Now you are stuck with the shitty stealth'd attack combo.

Too many macros can screw you up, but I still think the HO macro, and the masked/puncture combo are invaluable. When doing macros, you just need to pay attention to recast timers.
