Hate transfer Q

If i have a SK/Warlock/Assassin in a group, will the hate transfer froom the assassin help the SK keep agro from the warlock, or is it just to keep aggro off the assassin?

You know.. Hate transfer.. Transfers hate..from assassin to SK.

I think this is a good question.

I think it is like that: Hate transfer transfers hate from the mobs the assassin hits to the person he puts transfer on (usually tank). Since assassins don't do as much AoE dmg as a warlock, it could be that the warlock still pulls aggro from not directly targeted mobs.

Since a SK is a good tank to keep AoE aggro, it might not matter that much anyway.

If you wanna go the safe way: Take a pally with amends on the warlock, and put assassin hate transfer on pally :P.

From anyone, as long as the Hate generated by the SK (With the Assassin transfer and Self) is larger than what the Warlock generates then the SK will keep agro.

Good luck on group encounters though!

Good reply, thanks. So do you think a Troub would be better than an Assassin in keeping the Warlock from taking a dirt nap?

Depends what you want really, troub and assa are two totally different things. As I said I'd suggest you change the tank to a pally, you wont have "any" aggro issues then. Warlock and pally just work great together. If you don't wanna change the tank and only took the assassin in the group for aggro and not for dps, go for troub or dirge, I'd suggest dirge for aggro, and troup for caster buffs and deaggro.

Right on right on. Thanks for the replies. I used to play a warlock and know that pali's are great at aggro w/ them. Only reason i wanted to try a SK/lock combo was the disease dmg and debuffs they both do. Thanks for the help again.
