Exessive Bleeding AA= more hate??

Hey all just wondering if this debuff added to our 4 dots and mark adds more hate to these??? because a) its particularly useless on most epic fights b) too much aggro atm looking to get less

Anyone got an answer for sure???

(way to test is have 2 assassins approach a non aggro mob one with EB and do nothing else... other without and both cast mark... if it does cause aggro issues mob will stick to assassin with EB every time tested)

If your debuffing the mobs HP, your generating more hate than if it was just the DoT alone.

Yeah it probably generates more hate but it shouldn't really even be noticeable enough to worry about.

when I first took EB, i thought it was generating more hate as well. But I didn't really have a way to test it, as I am the only assassin I know.

I haven't noticed anything different with it, I guess it generates more hate but it hasn't effected my playing except on a positive note. On an epic mob, it's still helpful. If the mob has 4 million health, each bleeder is 40k off the health total. If you keep all 4 (except Death Mark which doesn't stick for long) thats 160k. Even with the management issue, I think it's a good AA to have.

On the hate issue, after debuffs I hit my bleeders which means its very early in the battle and I haven't seen hate being an issue. So if there is a hate increase it is most likely very small compared to the effect.

Yeah but on most namer mobs your dots will run out before u kill so if its like a sta debuff once it runs its course mob regains hp pool....and anything that adds hate to me = bad..... so il take the point out of the final endline there and get Exacting 5

But then you cast them again. I see it like this, as long as i can keep my 4 dots up, I make the entire raid force 4% more effective. I just wish it showed up on a friggen parse. Mystics and other debuffers would suddenly kick ass too! You know, it wouldn't be that hard. They could just give you a combat message saying you debuffed the mob for X hps, then when it wears off, you get a message saying you healed it for y hps. Why not? Its not like its a secret how many hps these mobs have.

BTW, If you don't like things that add hate to you, then here is a tip. Take execute off of your hotbar. Its pure evil. In fact, clear out all of your hotbars. Just leave the 2 or 3 de-aggros, and fill the rest of the slots up with socials.

Yeah it's hard to see it's effect but it is effective. At least 2 of our DoTs (due to recast vs. duration) should always be up unless we're having power issues, so on an epic that's 2%. At the end of the fight is definitely where this thing shines and becomes a nice ability. It is such a critical moment with power becoming an issue, so EB makes the mob go down faster helping the raid. In a few seconds, you can take up to 5% away from it's health.

Going 4 to 5 points in Exacting, although I would love to do this. Well I'll just say it takes a certain fight duration to be really helpful. It's only 8 seconds off recast making it a 2min28 recast to 2min20sec recast. So that 8 second gap is really what your dealing with.

Say you start off the fight with exacting, the fight has to last anywhere between 2min20sec to 2min28sec for you to see any benefit. Just enough time to use it twice in a fight when you couldn't without the added point. Rarely will a fight actually last between this time and we never know when it will to get the full benefit.

That is what it came down to for me when considering Exacting 5 or Excessive Bleeding. I would definitely reconsider now though since it may cause more hate but then again I haven't had an issue yet. On all the raids I have attended since, I am still the top parser by a marginal amount (I ain't wimping out) and still hate isn't an issue.

I would have to have clear evidence that EB was causing hate issues before I would drop it myself.

Thing is going exacting 5 puts it exactly on the same recast as fronload

(cause exacting recast timer starts after effect wears off)

I did reroll a few weeks and i got eb, really get more agro now.

On raid If you are not in the mt group someone cast transfer agro in other player? healer maybe? (dont melee on group, only bard)
