Do you EVER use defense stance?

Was just wondering, because last night, I noticed this button on my hotbars, and realized I could as well just delete it.

LOL would be even better to delete it, because I accidentally clicked it when I was in Chelsith and all of a sudden didn't hit a damn thing anymore. Was even asking my group mates about WTF happened to the mobs, can't get through concealment because I don't even hit them. ROFL pure selfownage, but I did realize it. Good laugh for my group....

But seriously, are there any encounters in the game, be it in VP, or any contested or in solo gameplay or PvP, where you ever use this?

Whats a def stance?

Used it lvling to 80 solo a bit when I couldn't just kite the mob around.

I use it to tank / solo. With 5 points on it you get a lot of defensive bonuses and 0 penalties.

Yes. I usually go into defensive stance for the Tactician fight in MMIS and then use my backstabs as big taunts whenever somebody rips him off. Think it a little easier on the healers.

Similarly, I'll go into defensive if I rip a mob and my two detaunts don't send them back to a tank. Assuming the mob is weak enough where I can survive for a bit.

I still have my lvl 46 ap I def. stance.. Never upgraded or bothered with any others higher versions. I tanked tacticians a couple times, always in off. stance.

I used it in FTH on ostavious whatever because we bounced aggro around to keep him from calling in friends. Other than that, just for soloing.

i only ever use it to train heroics lol, didnt even tank tacticians armor in defstance.. nowdays i just get oneshotted if i pull agro in raids anyway so well

i use it when i need to rush between mobs i dont want to fight. More avoidance is good to have. Else i never use it.

Tho, with AAs, we have increase parry skill which is working better than avoidance against oranges/strong heroics mobs.

Yeah I always tanked Tactician's Armor in offense stance as well, back then I used to be in MT group so HP buffs and wards etc weren't a problem.

And from what I heared you don't even hit mobs much in offense stance in VP, so why bother with defense anyway.

Will find out myself soon enough I guess, almost there just need the Venril flag myself because I sat out (guess t3 doesn't even count).
