Can someone please explain a concealment chain and it's usage to an old assassin who thought it was a useless spell??

when you use concealment your automatically put in stealth after every attack, so you can get off most or all of your stealth attacks without having to use regular stealthskills

Yeah, you use Concealment then after every melee attack or CA you are put into stealth again, so basically it would look something like this:

You use Concealment,
Wait for a melee attack or cast any CA,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Stealthed, so use any Stealth CA here,
Not stealthed or Concealment time has expired.

concealment pretty much owns... being on a one min timer means it lines up with every backstab, so it lets us use everything huge with a hate reduction (40% on master) all in a short period of time due to the auto stealth.

so a t8 an example of a concealment chain would be like this:

[use Concealment]>>
[Disfiguring Strike]>>
[Pinpoint Blade]>>
[Moon Blade]>>
[Jugular Slice]>>
[Mortal blade (if its up)]>>
[Execute (again if its up)]>>
[Slate (to cap FF modifier)]>>
[Fatal Followup]

I open up with disfiguring strike for 2 reasons, one it gets you into position, and two its an additional defense reduction before the chain. If you do any raiding, make sure you wait for the brig to call dispatched, and if they arent calling it make sure they are. Also, you need to not be slow because its only 7 seconds...

Debuffs, such as Disfiguring Strike, should be the first CA's you hit in every fight (except Death Mark). Also Disfiguring is very positional when most of your Stealth CA's are not. What I mean is you hit Conceal then hit Disfiguring while the mob turns slightly or your not perfectly behind the mob. Result is you end up wasting valuable seconds.

Why not Masked and then start with pinpoint, keeping them on a constant timer seems more logical to me. ANNNNND with a decent amount of reuse you can masked-pinpoint for another stealth attack before ff anyway!
