hey all i need your help i am apping into a new guild soon and i dont think i have the DPS to hang with there peeps

i am lvl 80 136AA SoD done and some ok gear from RoK and EoF
if you could look me up on eq2 players and give me some pointers about gear AA spec and such

i wanted to know all so i try to time my CA's with auto attacks but do you guys use your arrow CA's ?? if so let me know, your lil newbi gorten !

o and do you guys think + CA dam adorments are worth getting for a assassin ?

Don't time auto attacks. Pick up Poise in the AGI line and spam away.

There are probably hundreds.. maybe thousands? of posts about dps on the Assassin forums.. Hell I think probably 99% of most of sassies topics are dps related.. I don't think any one post or thread is going to sum it all up for you and provide you with everything you need/want to know.. Though I'm sure some of them come pretty close.. In any case, it's best to read as much info as you can. There's tons of it!

I agree with that "you shouldn't be timing your auto attacks." You are most likely only hurting yourself with that one.

As far as ranged attacks, I use them all the time.. It's not uncommon to get knocked back across a room, and use a ranged attack on the run back.. Or being called out of aoe range and having to use ranged attacks.

Pretty sure most can agree that once you have crit chance at a decent number, working on CA dmg is the next step.. Though see the few posts down about the whole MC, DA, and +CA Dmg.. I'm not gonna go into it lol...

Although, I'm not to sure I would be willing to put those fabled adornments on just any item.... My plat is going towards masters first =) But that's just me.

Hell, i didn't even know there were +CA adornments. To be honest, the adornments I have bought so far in T8 are the ones that add str and some damage proc weapon adornments. Next weapon is getting a power proc though. Last week I finally got to the point where I kept having to switch to mental breach and that really pissed me off.

happened to me as well, first time for a long period i didnt have a coercer in my mt-group and i noticed running oop pretty fast even with using shards+clarity potions... and that by using mostly T7 spells as t8 ones are even more power-consuming (+lacking of damage upgrades... old story)

Waist and Wrists both have Fabled +CA Damage Adorns but they are incredibly expensive on broker.

To the OP, grats on joining a good guild. As for AA specs: STR (perfectionist), AGI (poise), and INT (8 in spell crits) is a good one although trying WIS or even Intox over Poise is viable. For the EoF: Excessive Bleeding, Repeated Stabbing, Frontload with 4 in Exacting is probably the best.

As for running with them and not looking like a newb. If they are doing ROK raids: just pay attention, best thing you can do.

Always make sure you debuff first and keep them up. Use Death Mark and Death mark everytime they are up, and master pulling off Concealment Chains.

thankx guys for the help i did what you said and put in some of my owe stuff ... well for the most part i know how to play a assassin but iwanted to know about the auto attack thing , but anyway i came in 2nd place on the ZW in PR raid zone , and Overking placed number 1 on the ZW with only a wizzy a few points behind me

There is a plug-in for ACT that will play a "beep" each time you Auto-attack. I forget the name of the Plug-in or where you can get it. You can check the ACT forums. IMO it does help but you should prioritize getting CA's off rather than timing Auto-attacks.
