Not trying to hijack your thread, but I picked up Throatripper the other day. So what do you think:

Throat Ripper in main hand and Anaphylaxis in OH? Someone suggested Anaphylaxis in MH b/c of the delay and proc rate, but it just seems like ThroatRipper is parsing better there.

It shouldn't parse more in the MH, the proc on it procs on either hand and buffs modifying that effect is applied to both hands....

Anaphylaxis in MH because of that slower delay yes, difference between 4 and 4.5 second delay would be neglible though, so wouldn't matter much entirely, however it would still yeild more dps, if any.

Hey camryn, are you gunna come back and tell us why you pick those 2? I just got segmented tonight, so i have anaphalaxis, segmented, and soulfire to choose from.

You too vaanir. Doesn't seem like the soulfire is any better than ana, and doesn't it mean something that its 10 levels lower? Is +5 DPS that big? Is it the ratio that makes it so good?

Well, in general. SF and Ana alone perform nearly identically (assuming you arent sitting at like 15% or lower melee crit. LOL).

The ana proc is a bit bigger, but then SF gives the small +DPS bump too. (Then again, as Nephy was so kind to point out, lol, I play a brig, and in my current raid group setup, i get haste like crazy but no DPS buffs.).

With them being so close in general, matching delays would bump the SF over the Ana IMO.

And Serrator schools them both. lol (the auto attack damage is in the ball park of 15-20% higher when sittin in the 40-50% crit range)

The response was to the OP who didn't say he had the cutter. Cutter is better than Soulfire and Ana. Personally:

1: Cutter
2: Soulfire
3: Anaphylaxis

2&3 are pretty close IMO. I personally parse higher with Soulfire than Ananphylaxis though. If you got cutter, I would roll with that and Anaphylaxis. Better yet instead of Anaphylaxis use the Nathsar. The better your DA, the better Nathsar becomes.

I personally use the Cutter and Ana myself. I like the 5 double attack on cutter. I have used both the Cutter and Ana and then Cutter and Soulfire and do not see a huge difference though. Get lucky to get throatripper though and it is the end of this discussion.

i tested all those weapon soloing against the training wall in KJ. ok the test is not really perfect as i tried only 3 fight per combinaison and the result is only from autoattack.

Anaphylaxis and Cutter was the one that gave me the max AUTOATTACK dmg.
