For the mythical, do you have to equip the heart to get the update or can you just have it in your bags for update?

Sure, you can equip them before he dies~

But seriously, I wouldn't take faabio's word for it. You should completely ignore the text in the quest, kill drushk without the heart, and let us know if it works. Hell, I bet you don't even need the fang of ichor. I hope not, I sacrificed mine to zek when I picked up lifespike.

He chose the second option. I know because I did the same thing... But then again, it was like 6:30am when I did it. I was stupidly tired and had been drinking heavily all night long, lol.

Any (solid) word on what, exactly, going this route means, other than just when you're KoS to FP??

I picked the first option, but I never went KoS. I Got my mythical just before TSO released. I got the leviathan kill about 2 weeks before that. I think it just means you have to find a different NPC.

From reading EQ2wikia's Myth walk through it looks like you'd go speak to the Controller in WFP after killing Opal anyway. As it stands it just looks like I (we) have started the quest with the controller.

I guess I'll add the *second* option to this walk-through as I complete it. I just finished a 14 hour shift at work, else I would SS/post up my quest log details for the first step to kick it off.

Ok... took me long enough to finish my Mythical, but I finally finished "To Catch a Thief" Tuesday night.

Major differences I noticed include:

- Banished from Freeport between Drachnid Queen and Leviathon (doesn't really matter as you may still use the Guild Hall located in FP, and you can still call to your house).

- Awarded the Prefix "Curator" upon killing Leviathon.

- All quest turn-in's after kills happen with Controller Kenjedeau in the backroom instance of the Backalley Brewhouse in WFP.

I received an 11pp reward after getting your Myth.

The weapon remains the same, as do the basic steps. However the name of your Mythical Quest is changed.
