Iv heard different things from a few Asassins, whats best or not.. so, what happens in these cases...?

Paly Amends Assas + Assas Xfer to Pally = ?

Guardian Reduces Threat on Assas + Assas Xfer to Guard = ?


Normally we run with a MT, Healerx3, assas, dirge. What is the correct (moste hate) production from the Xfer?

I mean do they stack?.. does Amends + murderous design = +50% to Pally?

Does Guardian Threat Reduction (-39%) cound befor or after the Merderous Design (+16%) = total of 50% reduction on the Assasin?

Does Reduction count befor or after Xfer?

Does Reduction decrease the amount Xfered?

it's an interesting question as it's % yes.

but i would say about amend and moderate:
amend should be done on a mage or another non-xfer scout, to maximise efficiency (amending a mage,will let him max burn and give way better aggro xfer).
moderate should be put on a non-xfer dps class .Only on you if your MT doesnt manage your aggro.

As dirge give hate xfer also, your mt doesnt need to amend/moderate you.

I'm 99% sure that x-fers stack in the order of spell level (master, adept 3, etc). Assuming both are master, amends 41% and MD 19% will stack up to 50%. In a direct transfer with the assassin (meaning amends and MD) this doesn't matter much. However if say the pally has amends at master and the assassin only has AD3 and the pally is amending a warlock, i belive that the assassin is only x-fering 9% to the pally.

I'm not as clear on the guard threat reduction scenario, but I think that the reduction will apply before the transfer.

well.. moderate is a permanent aggro generation reducer. and therefor by logical means you would xfer less aggro because you generate less

Dirge gives hate gain not hate xfer. Which is a totally differnt 50% pool. In fact, a pally, dirge, assassin in the MT group with the pally str line specced will be just about capped in both hate gain and transfer freeing up the usual coercer slot.

Or even better leave the coercer in there and have him buff the amended assassin with his gain/xfer for more solid pally aggro. I don't think the xfer portion will chain over to the pally, but the gain should.

I do believe that deagros are applied AFTER the transfer.

ie,
If you are generating 1000 hate, have a 16% transfer, and a 40% deagro:
You would transfer 160 hate to the MT, leaving you with 840 hate. The remaining 840 hate would be reduced by 40% leaving you with a net of 504 hate.

No, if its a straight de-aggro like moderate, then every hit you do generates less threat than it normally would. So it would have to be applied before the xfer, otherwise you would still be generating the normal amount of threat on the initial hit and it wouldn't get lowered till afterwards, giving an opportunity for aggro to bounce before the de-aggro took effect.

Of course, thats assuming the mage or non-xfer scout is anywhere close to the assassin in dps. In groups (which is the only time I run with a pally) it always works out better with us just using ammends/murderous on each other.
