Well since all the males have given their response now, figure i'd add one from a female perspective. I've got 11 tattoos in total, if I had stopped to worry about where they were getting placed because I gave a shit about someone else's opinion of something like placement, I prob wouldn't even have half of them. Get what YOU want, WHERE you want it. They're an expression of who you are and your personality. If you just stick it wherever to appease the masses instead of where you want cuz you're paranoid about what someone else will think, you probably shouldn't have a tattoo to begin with. I mean hell, 30 yrs ago any woman with a tattoo was considered less respectable, didn't matter the size, image or placement of it, that was society's judgement. People are gonna nitpick about anything they can if that's what they really want to do, but you're the one who's gonna have to live with an image on you till you either decide to cough up the dough for laser removal or a coverup job if you don't really like it. If they make a judgement call on your personality over something as irrelevant as where the hell you chose to place a tattoo, is that really the kinda person you wanna call a buddy anyways? Probably not.

I'm sure some people would have a bullshit stereotype for a lot of mine considering they are highly visible. They're also designs that mean a significant deal to me and after over 10 yrs with most of them, I still like what they are and have no regrets on them. So ya, if you're attached to a design and want to get it somewhere in particular, just do it. Don't worry about someone else's theory on what it makes you, as it's you that has to look at it everyday and you better like where it is. Besides, who knows 10-20 yrs from now for all you know that'll be looked at as the BEST spot to have it instead of what people believe now.

Ya, my shoulders weren't too pleasant either. Not huge amts of pain but just, uncomfortable. The vine on my right arm goes all the way up and over my shoulder blades. One of the worst spots to get heavy work done if you're not used to it already lol. I swear I had muscle knots the size of golf balls by the end of that just cuz you can't stop the muscles from clenching up a bit during the process.
