After recently betraying a guildie of mine told me that smokebomb is a great AP and is better than Poise ...
is it? im STR INT AGI specced atm i figured Poise is better for dps but what is smokebombs advantage?

The lineup to get to poise is a pretty big bucket of suck too.

Smokebomb kicks ass if you have tanks that can't keep aggro off of you. It can save a raid or a group if thats the situation you are in. Taking advantage of the 8% bonus requires changing how you mash the buttons, so most assassins never figured it out. Back in EoF days, I parsed pretty much the same when I was str/wis specced vs str/int specced, once i figured out the wis spec. Plus my repair bills were a lot lower. But we had some of those aforementioned aggro issues.

You shouldn't be the one to pay in your lines if your tanks suck. Just stick with poise and get better tanks.

That 8% bonus would *only* be actually useful if it worked with concealment, and unless it has since I quit, then its still not worth it.

Not true about the 8%. it works for any CA. so even if you want to keep using conceal chains, hit one of your stealths and use other CAs like freezing or disfiguring. My best results came from hitting those stealths everytime they were up and then my biggest attack. Once the backstabs were gone, I started using the regular ones.

and I'm just not that selfish that I'm going to tell my friends to fuck off cause they can't keep me from dying without my help. Thats not how i roll.
