Re: Auto attack timing with CA
Theres a very thin line between doing it wrong and doing it worse.
Most r-tards get so caught up in timing the Auto Attack that they fuck up their CA dps but fawkin around doing nothing.
Practice does make perfect though. In a non buffed fight you'd be delaying auto attack by about 1 second, and that adds up. Essentially you want to ballpark it and get used to timing yourself to halt your CAs for less than a second (so that you didn't waste 1 potential CA) if that makes sense....it does in my head. Sounds like work but think of it as another CA that auto casts itself lol.
If and when recovery speed and casting speed come into play then you're just over thinking it. It's futile and moronic to worry about letting your auto attack go off when the elapsed time of a "regular" CA is a fraction of a second.
The ONLY melee class that should worry about this shit is Rangers, nuff said

If your weapon is a 4 sec delay, and over the course of a fight you collectively push it back 4 seconds, then you just missed an auto attack.

meh ? i would say if it was about to fire out at 4,2 sec ,it will just wait the 0.35 sec of next CA to go ?

Heh.
Vaanir, Chapel, Myself, Faabio.. Obviously we're not in raiding guilds that do t2+ zones.
We got our mythicals by magic, of course.

Re: Auto attack timing with CA
I also time auto attacks on the majority of fights... and by time I mean I do this.
Fight Starts
Debuffs, Exacting, DoT's/Small Attacks, (waiting for Dispatch), Frontload, Concealment Combo, FFU, THEN I start timing auto attacks while my attacks refresh, hitting attacks as they come back up.
Sometimes Frontload/Exacting go in different orders depending on the fight. I don't time my auto attacks during the whole fight, just when I'm waiting on my larger attacks to refresh, and of course hit Masked Strike/Punch Blade as fast as it comes up.
Not in VP yet, we've only pulled Leviathan once and gotten him to 12% (didn't time/setup the Orb clicky properly) and we'll be going back in today.
Vox sucks :-(
