Just go three group SoF to get the Choker.
Also, DO NOT kill any nameds in SoF, only the last one (Terror). Dropped 5 times out of 5 when I ignored all other nameds.

This is false information as having done this zone in this manner I have gotten the choker at the normal drop rate.

Hey all, just jumping in here as well. Great advice. Currently I am doing about 3K ZW in my guild. We are doing T2 content. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on Gear. Here I am: EverQuest II Players

All thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Run Chelsith for a chest chest, shoulder, and wrist piece. In order, Ruined Leviathan Carapace, Unailing Shoulderpads, and Nug-Soth Wristguards. Or if you can dedicate running Maiden's full-time, go for the Gi from the sisters.

Replace your Boots with the Trooper Scale Boots. They drop from any named in JW, but I find the general is a good target.

Replace the Bow with the Di'Zok Bow of Flames. Then run SoH and try to get the Vexthorne.

Imbued Ring of Agility instead of Strenght.

Replace the Gnasher Torque with the Culinary Wrist piece. It's from a quest but I don't remember the name.

Drop the Doll and get the Gorowynian Rune of Intent. Quest given by the Sarnak on BB docks.

Those are really easy upgrades and once you get those (since your raiding) check out the T8 Loot Thread to see what you should get next.

-My stealth skills are used in batches, masked strike+ pointpoint blade 5 times between every FFU combo and within it, spy+stealth assault are used every 30 seconds, and starts my FFU combos (3 one minute skills are in every FFU combo, Mortal blade is in every 3rd combo, execute is in every 10th combo)
-I fill in down time with other skills, like velium strike, resourceful weapon, or a quick dart back and earshot/deadly blast.
Buff before pull not during the pull or while fighting unless one just happens to recharge.

On pull, bow shots as the mob is coming in. If you stand behind the tank, his bow shot/taunt should land first = less chance of pulling aggro. Be ready to cast a dehate but if your tank doesn't suck you should be fine.

If you got a Brig, save Death Mark for Dispatch. Does too much damage to not be saved for the benefits of DP. Better yet try to save all your big hitters (including Conceal which is a no brainer) for Dispatch and if your Brig doesn't already he should be dispatching 4-5 seconds or earlier into the fight.

For Concealment, if exacting is up use Masked+Pinpoint then Concealment and make sure you hit Pinpoint again before hitting Fatal Followup. Instead of using Spy to trigger your concealment, use Velium Strike.

If you got 2 troubs in your raid, try to get one to hit ya with JC when dispatch is called. That will help line up Concealment with Dispatch. If you get a Dirge in your group, used Honed reflexes when CoB is called and try your best to time Autoattacks without screwing over your DPS.

Another thing you can do in raids, try and time your FF chain with the Dispatch from your Brig. He should have it macro'd so you know when he cast's it. I've noticed that the Dispatch timer (for our Brig anyway, not sure if that ability recast can be changed with AA) is the same as our Concealment timer. When I see the Dispatch call, my Concealment is just refreshing...

Concealment and Dispatched are both 60sec recasts. Although if the Brig gets Jcapped it will throw that timing off obviously.

If no troub is available, a shammy with alacrity works just as well.

When I killed all nameds and five or six in groups I got it once out of 5. When I did it with either three or four and skipped all nameds I got it 5 out of 5. That can't be luck.

Yes it is, I've done the zone the same way multiple times and didn't see any special drop rate.
