Default Really huge noob.

I just started playing EQ2 two days ago and needless to say I'm a huge noob lol. I rolled an assassin (level 19) and I'm really enjoying the class so far. I am, however, kind of clueless as to weapon choice. Should I be using something with high delay high damage range, or low delay low damage. Right now I have two swords with high damage ranges, but the delay is 5.0 which feels realllllllly slow. Just looking for some advice from the vets here.

To be honest, it won't matter much at all til you level up.

yeah target a 4 sec but it's not going to be until you get up higher to lvl and get haste and that sort of thing when a longer delay is really really good. Until then, who knows, a quicker delay may even be better.

Edit: Apparently Chapel is going to give you a lesson on the mechanics that you can apply to your lvl range and the buffs you get as you progress, choice of weapons...etc and how that impacts your dps through the lvls, so you'll be all good.

Generally you'll want high delay high damage range.

At your lvl though just get mastercrafted dirks/daggers and call it a day. This only becomes really important once you reach 80.

Talk about not understanding game mechanics...
