Choker Drops

Hellowz.

Has anyone been able to confirm the rumor about the bloodthirsty choker drops? I have heard people say if you skip the names the % of the drop increase?

It does not make sense to me from a game mechanics point of view but I've heard it often enough to make me wonder.

I have been running it +/- 4 times a week for the last 2 months and no freaking choker yet. Unfortunately I am the only one who wants to skip the names so I get overruled.

Any thoughts on this?

Although I'm not an assassin (I'm a warlock), I was able to get the choker on my first run through the zone after killing all the nameds. Guess I was just insanely lucky. With that being said, I don't know that there is any increase drop % by skipping names.

Ugh, you and the choker sounds like me and Praetor's Guard...I've been running Vaults forever and still haven't gotten the damn thing...I feel your pain...best of luck to ya

There is no increase in drop rate for skipping the names.

Just another rumor.

2 buddies and I do this zone. We normally hit the 3 towers and 2 pools of blood, hit the dracolich (For a 70...T8...mutable master) clear the front side of the pyramid kill terror and leave.
Not taking out the other named saves on time...thats about it. Takes us about 45 mins to knock out the zone. We've run the zone so far 28 times. Gotten one chocker....2 Crimson Robes of Alendine...and about 6 level 70 masters to mute as t8 masters (3 mana)....and TONS of muteable T8 Infusions and powders.
So if your farming for a choker know its a PITA. and can take a long time. Wish ya the best of luck

You only need to clear 1 pool of blood.

No real reason to skip any named. I 5box this zone in like 40 minutes if im not fucking around, good transmutes.

I get about 1 choker per maybe 5 runs. I was doing it daily, but do it only a couple times a week now. its kind of hit or miss.

Here's an example, i once had 3 rainbow shields drop in the same instance, and haven't seen another one for 2 weeks+

Its totally random, there is no pattern to skipping nameds. I used to skip the monkies, the spider, the croc and the zombie, but they don't take long and it didn't seem to change any of my drops.

Now thats something I didn't know. At first we were clearing the whole pyramid at the end until we realized that we didn't have to do it. The Croc, the monkeys and Angst dont drop anything our crew really wants so we normally skip them for times sake.

Yeah the drops are totally random... anyone who tells you skipping names increases the chance of item "X" dropping is confused from the repeated tea baggin they recieved.

We run this instance all the time... Choker drops like 1 out of every 7-8 runs for us.

i must have crap luck.... nearly 60 runs here and not had one choker drop
