my main is an 80 SK, so i decided to make a few alts. i enjoy the caster classes but i hadnt made a scout....so i rolled an assassin. WOW! way different but a ton of fun to play. only problem is its so different i find myself trying to figure out where to put my spells and such. if u guys could give some suggestions on hotbar setups that would be awsome. kinda gettin the hang of a stealth chain so thats not really an issue just thought there might be an easier way to set it up so im not just spamming spells. also ive been lookin throught the forums and might have missed it but where should i start with my AA's. i.e. agi line first the str line second? thanx for the help

Hot bars? Just put your similar recast CA's next/adjacent to each other and your DoT's close to them for starters.... then work from there...

AA's.....STR > INT > AGIL for some or STR > AGIL > INT for others.

Fuck him, macro all your front CAs to one hotkey, then macro all your back attacks to another, then macro all your temp buffs to a third. Then you just have to mash 3 buttons ever...and never worry about hotkeys!!

lol chaple. the thing is ive tried that macro thing on other toons and it dosnt cast all the spells. it'll skip 2,4,6 ect... something im doing wrong?

Yes, you are doing something wrong. You are not understanding how a macro works. It will never skip 2,4,and 6 (Implying 1,3,and 5 get cast). It will always start the first available CA, then it'll queue up every CA after that, in order. But, since the game only allows you to queue one ability, you wind up casting the first available and having the last ability queued up. So, to get them all cast, you keep mashing it like a monkey with his penis wired to a buzzer. Play around with the order to get them to cast in the order you want.

Another thing they are leaving off, is that once you get the 4 hotkeys you need set up, hit F10 (twice?) to get rid of all the distractions. Your enjoyment of the game and your DPS will go up 1000 fold.

Ok, the monkey... very funny and the mental image will require at least 12 hours of counselling.

At first I thought you were all joking about 4 buttons, but I'm assuming you're dead serious... I guess I have some experimenting to do tonight. Thinking about it.. makes sense... although it seems to take all the skill out of playing and really does reduce us to button mashing.
